Nigeria
Akinkunle Akinloye

Birthday: October 12, 1979
Education: Undergraduate B.Sc. Computer Science/Economics (final year)
Occupation: Student

What is your vision of a world that works for everyone?
A world that works for everyone has in its core the noble vision that each individual will joyfully live to make his fellowman enjoy living. We need one another worldwide to achieve this, in spite of any opposing challenge.

What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today?
The problem of selfish leadership. Every action a man takes today is most likely done to glorify self because he is following the selfish behaviour of the leaders above him.

How do you feel these problems could best be solved ?
This problem can be solved by the inculcation of selflessness into our societal values through the exemplary acts of the leaders in power. People will imitate the selflessness they see in action.

Profile
I am Akinkunle Akinloye, a native of Osun State, South-West Nigeria( a predominantly Yoruba-speaking region). I was born in October 12, 1979 into the Akinloye family. I spent most of my childhood years in Alagbado, a small town on the outskirts of Lagos metropolis, South Western Nigeria. I attended Ifako International Nursery and Primary School and then proceeded to Ikeja High School located at Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State, Nigeria. I was then admitted to the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, Western Nigeria to get an Ordinary National Diploma in Computer Studies, for 2 years and I was then admitted through Direct Entry to Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria to study Computer Science with Economics. I am currently in my final year in this great ivory tower. I serve as the Class Representative on behalf of my colleagues, and I am also the incumbent General Secretary of the Nigerian Association of Computer Science Students (NACOSS-OAU Chapter).

My personal interests are reading, browsing the Internet, watching inspiring programmes on TV like football matches, sermons of great men of GOD, listening to the praise and worship songs of anointed singers like Don Moen, Michael Smith, and Darlene Zschech and a few films with hidden inspiring messages, informative and educative foreign channels like CNN, Discovery Channel. I also enjoy reading foreign magazines like TIME magazine, Tommorow's World, and local magazines like Success Digest, Financial Standard, Leadership and Lifesyle , Hints etc

My favourite book is the Holy Bible, each day I read it I discover new truths that I have never seen or heard anywhere before. Consequently, its pages are almost worn out and painted with ink!

My favourite movies are Gladiator, Braveheart, Cleopatra, First Knight, Malcolm X, Mandela, Lean on Me, The Patriot, Men of Honour, Bruce Almighty, The Sheep Pig and Toy Story. All of the above films have impacted my life positively in their own little way through their hidden messages of wisdom.

I derive joy in helping people solve their problems, and supporting good ventures that will benefit everyone, and this is why I have served as the Class Representative on behalf of my colleagues for the past three years. I am also a keen worker in the Traffic and Security Unit of the church where I attend and serve.

My dream is to gain a lot of experience in Information Technology and entrepreneurship and set up my own firm to help people enjoy quality computer-based services and use them to improve their productivity at work. I also want to focus on life-time financial investment alongside. I will also ensure that I become a blessing to the less privileged throughout my lifetime.

My passion and dream require access to vast information from loaded books of established successful professionals, industrial magnates and seasoned leaders, and this is my reason why this application was initially written.
