Please describe your vision of a world that works for everyone.
That world should be characterized by equity, equal distribution of resources, equal access to social services and opportunities, rule of law and respect of Human rights.

What experiences have you had working in intercultural settings?
I am a sociologist and have researched and published, among other fields, inter-religious and intercultural dialogue; social systems, race and ethnic relations, etc

What do you see as the most pressing problems facing the world today?
Negative competition over power, over economic opportunities; there is also selfishness and greed among world leaders which lead to violent conflicts and violation of human rights

How do you feel these problems could best be solved?
Install a culture of mutual respect, good governance, accountability and democracy, locally and globally.

Profile:
My major dream is to contribute to the global effort to achieve sustainable development worldwide, specifically, to eradicate abject poverty. I am involved in campaigns for poverty eradication and the fight against corruption locally and globally. I also mobilize and train the youth to develop their consciousness of their potential, their role in the society and their capacity to change the world. I encourage them to take charge of their lives and destiny by knowing their rights and defending them but also knowing and playing their roles and responsibilities.

As a sociologist, my main area of interest consists of Social Policies analysis and advice for human development and social welfare. Some specific fields of particular interest are, among others, international migration and its socio-economic, cultural and political implications, especially on developing economies. I am particularly concerned of the brain drain in Africa when skilled professionals leave the continent together with the youth and active people who constitute the human resources as the primary asset for sustainable development of the continent. I am also concerned with armed conflicts which destroy the basic infrastructures and disrupt socio-economic and political systems in affected areas. Refugees and IDPs as victims of these violent conflicts and human rights abuse are also of major concern as far as African stability and sustainable development is concerned.

I enjoy traveling and have traveled a lot in Africa and Europe. My hobbies are: reading books with interesting stories, watching interesting TV programs on social, cultural or historical issues; I like listening to music. I play tennis.
