As A Man Thinketh
Assessment by Kekeje Efeturi Charles (Nigeria)

Part 1 - Contents
This book is a must read for everybody who wants to understand the reason why many things happen as they do, and most importantly why some circumstances which they want to leave behind keep re-occurring or why some certain kind of people keep coming their way, maybe in a relationship or those you work with as it is that a mans thoughts attracts that which he is and not that which he wants.

The book has so many meanings it seems to throw light on nearly if not almost all areas of mans life both physically and mentally. It dwells on matters of the spirit and soul, how man wills things he thinks about where any thoughts he harbor are those which show up that's show themselves in his life. If it is what he fears most or hates most is in his heart those things most likely show up like a dreaded disease or condition of life this area highlight in thoughts and circumstances which is the second part of this book that's the part on thoughts and circumstances.

This book gives credence to the behavior of man saying only a man with evil thoughts does evil things happen to and not the condition which has forced him to do such for a man with most pure thoughts will be unable to do evil because such is not in him, therefore the author is trying to link and communicate to all that its important that your thoughts be good otherwise good or bad these thoughts tend to grow to make acts and acts grow to make habits and habits grow to make character for its when you habitually do some thing then such becomes your character.

Other parts which would also improve many peoples lives it's the area of thoughts on health and body. This book lets one know how health stands or is maintained by what a man thinks of himself or his health (Even the bible says as a man thinks so is he). When you believe that a certain ailment, be it a family (Like maybe a genetic or inherited disease) would not affect you and your children, removing all doubts of it from the heart so it would be in your life. The author made it important for us to realize that bad thoughts makes body sink rapidly into disease and decay while good and beautiful thoughts of all kinds one become clothed with youthfulness and beauty, in all this the author is saying that if people want good health then they must balance clean thoughts with clean life.

Then on the part of thought and purpose the author says that until thought is linked with purpose there shall be no meaningful intelligent accomplishment. So he advices people to put away aimlessness and weakness and to begin to think with a definite purpose so to enter the rank of those strong recognize failure as one of the pathway to attainment which makes all condition serve them.

Author says that achievement one has to have an orientation of thought. A man can only rise, conquer and achieve by lifting up his thoughts he can only remain weak, abject and miserable by refusing to lift up his thoughts with out manful control of thoughts achievement is limited.

In part VI which is on Vision and Ideals, the author says the poet sculptors, painter sage are the makers of the after world and writes that the world is beautiful because they have lived, he says he who cherishes a beautiful vision and lofty ideal in his heart will one day realize it (To desire is to obtain). The author writes that beautiful thoughts these beautiful desires will be handed to you, even the present environment you will fall, remain or rise with your thoughts, your vision, and your ideals. You will become as small as your controlling desire, as great as your dominant aspiration. Finally i recommend that all who want to achieve these things in this book must work hard to get a peaceful disposition towards everything they do. I recommend it to every teenager and Adult

Part 2 - Personal Impact

I have noticed that its only when I truly believe things these things I so believe in happen and I have discovered its why champions easily remain champions, and it was also said that only by much searching and mining is gold and diamond obtained referring to the area of discovering and mastering our thought and I found this to be true as written in some books of the bible.

On the area of thought and circumstances I have learnt how to do good things and think good things so that my circumstance would improve and from my understanding circumstances are placed so that we are purified so one must learn from them otherwise they would keep coming. I now try to see what I can learn from every circumstance that comes my way, in so doing I would willingly and unwillingly attract that condition or circumstances which I want.

I have also found out that its true that circumstances do not make a man because it's what is inside of man that can show in his character no matter the circumstances. I have also learnt that improving my circumstance I should not just wait for it to happen from nowhere but I should constantly improve myself. What I can say I gained from part III is great because prior to reading this whenever I feel frustrated about any situation (Which is not quite often) I usually come down with malaria, this book has been like a light, since I got the complete picture on how my thought affect my health I now work hard to have thoughts that would make my mind and body well even in the most trying circumstance.

On the area of thought and purpose I have noticed this concept to apply to many people for example there was this young boy I knew who love doing things at times he sees fit he had no sense of purpose I found out he did not get any meaningful accomplishment and very little things tend to make him angry, things which to me could be over looked are easy taken as offence and an opportunity to challenge. Clearly I see that such a boy is not driven by a central purpose.

True to speak the vision one holds in mind come to pass eventually, I am of the school of thought that when one holds a vision and desires believing that these things will come to pass, so will it be its like faith, for I read in my bible where Christ said for the man who believe that when he says this mountain should move that so will it come to pass.

I have also learnt that in order to stay away from evil stop thinking evil, for example i grow up with an uncle who has a passion for women, some how i notice later in life that i was actually following almost the same trend though in a much gentler way and constantly i have been trying to leave that kind of life but found my self going back to it, but when i read this book i found out that unless i change the way i think of these things i can not really take control. I found this to correlate with the title of this book ( As a man thinks so is he).

I now think of more wonderful things when it comes to the subject of women and with this i have a change of heart and now see them as more than just passion. Finally it's true that only quietly and organized things work well for it's only a calm and self discipline student that comes out among the top scorers or even become the top scorer, this i have found out personally.

The author wrote that the more tranquil a man becomes the greater is his success, his influence, his power to good. Personally as I mature and become more tranquil i noticed that I exceed in things i do far more than before in my life. To be tranquil is to be self discipline have control over self and temper.

Part III - Summary

As a man thinks is divided into various parts , the first part is on thought and character. Here the author links the character and behavior of man with his thoughts, that every man behaves as he is (in mind ). For even spontaneous and unpremeditated reaction to situations are as a result of thought for if a man who has always been looked as gentle is angered and he turns violent (unpremeditated). It simply means he has violence in him.

Part II is about how our thoughts affect circumstance. Mans circumstance are as a result of how he thinks when good or bad circumstance come your way we would find out that these are as a result of what he has always thought. Sufferings are as a result of wrong thoughts. This circumstances come in mans life to teach (purify him) only when man understand and channel his thought well. He becomes a being in harmony then the bad circumstance would not rise again.

Purifying ones thought and personal sacrifice is essential to change ones circumstance. On the area of thought and body the author came up with proofs to show that wonderful thought would produce a wonderful disposition and wonderful health even with little things such as wrinkles, simple put with thought of peace joy and serenity living unselfish and dwelling day by day in thoughts of peace towards every creature will bring abounding peace to their possessor.

On the area of thought and purpose the author is simply trying to show the link between our thought and purpose that meaningful achievement are made for with purpose failure, doubts would not restrain him from trying again and again until he achieves that which he desires.

Every action done in our life has passed through a process of thought before we do them, if only we can direct our thoughts even when it seems difficult with the fact that we have grown up thinking like that you know it's a hard task indeed. Saint Paul in the bible said the heart of man is the most deceitful and difficult thing in this life to control. Simply put, when we work out a method of directing our thought constantly checking our thought it would come to a time when we will succeed but remember the race is not for the faint hearted but then the rewards will be uncountable. Every thing will just seem to be working out in our favor (It would be like Miracle every other day)

In conclusion the Universe does not favor the greedy, the dishonest, and the vicious, although on the mere surface may appear to do so. It helps the honest, the magnanimous, and the virtuous. So a man has to be persistent in making himself increasingly virtuous lifting his thought in all he does.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Assessment by Kekeje Efeturi Charles (Nigeria)

Part 1 - Review of Contents
Jonathan Livingston Seagull is a story based on the life of a bird a seagull (big white birds), The author used the extra ordinary life of this particular bird to depict the way our life would proceed if we have a purpose, usually which drives us more than living for our daily bread for just as humans when we live for our daily bread we forget to learn to be perfect for in the world we become fully free when we learn to get to perfection in all we do. The author tried to use the Jonathan Livingston to show the growth we experience both in learning and character. In most cases when we seek perfection we may be so focused that we look like outcast both in our families and society and in this book even though we would at first feel lonely, rejected. if we keep doing that which we do only then can we reach perfection as its said 'inspiration most often comes only to those hard at work'

In the 2nd part Jonathan seagull was said to have reached heaven when he got to perfection that level (after been cast out), the author depict how it is in real life if we become perfect we get promoted like in our schools (Education), at work est. Jonathan Seagull got higher freedom from living this secure and normal secular life that when we stop think Just security in all we do that we can put in all despite what people think of us, the author teaches that its what we think and how we see our selves and hold things that's exactly how they come to pass and in situations where we think of the possibility of making it only then can we make it. Just as in the case of vanishing flight, this was only possible when Jonathan believed

Part 2 - Personal Impact
This book has made great impact in my life through way of been persistence and patience (Jonathan Livingston practiced with a lot of both) I learnt that i can overcome my limit through continuous trying and determination, he has thought me that with persistence and patience I could reach my goals. From the book I have also seen that when we search for certain things in life in the course of our search we some times feel lonely and weary but with time we find people with similar search, as the saying I read up somewhere, which says as is our kind of mind so is our kind of search. I have discovered that people with similar minds would find them selves how and make a bond like the saying that birds of the same feathers flock together.

I have also learnt that life is much more than food for the belly, that I must seek perfection in all areas, be it in my profession or something I really love doing to do this very well. In this book Jonathan spent most of his time alone, I learnt that been alone might look like loneliness to some but solitude once in a while is not only good but this gives us time to think and practice for its only with practice that we can become masters in all we do and solitude helps one in thinking. Most people see thinking like a simple thing but its more than that for with a lot of thinking differences will be made, to this end Thomas Edison said 'thinking is the hardest thing' so I learnt not to feel lonely when I am alone but to use this as opportunity to enrich my self. This book is all about persistence and practice and that with these perfection would come this would take us to higher levels and give us break through which might look like miracles at first even when this happen some might look at them like failure but with time these people get enlightened. It teaches that we must break from the circle of every day things that is behaving like every other person to learn to pick up habits of life that would make us excel both physically and spiritually.

Part 3 - Summary
Finally this book is a must read for every body for it throws light into the way life is for those desperately trying to make a difference where no one else has tried before its like as it was when Jesus came he was rejected but what happened later. I recommend it for every learning mind.

The New Dynamics Of Winning
Assessment by Kekeje Efeturi Charles (Nigeria)

1. What Ideas were personally most important to you in this book? Explain or discuss why they were important to you, using personal examples.

The main ideal of this book which i find important is the mind-set of a champion, that is the willing of the mind by the individual to motivate themselves by learning from and emulating champion (they has never been a greater motivation than to know that some one like you probably with same physical condition and from same environmental condition has been able to over come). Going about with positive believe and not doubting (faith) in every thing you do. The mind-set of champions is what separates winners from losers, its how to condition you desires to action which together results in motivation, understanding the effect of negative fears in order to be able to over come them and put away all negative simulation. Simple put our mind when set on winning and with the willingness to pay the price will eventually win, that is why champions like Thomas Edison and Henry ford made it because they had this mind set of champions and did not allow set, failure, pain even ill health to hold them from their set objectives.

2. Can you relate the ideas or concepts in this book to your personal circumstances in life such as your relationships, your beliefs, your goals, your values, etc? Please use personal examples in your explanation.

In my life thus far I have found out that only by the grace of God and by paying the price have I been able to achieve in certain areas of life, areas such as my education (Though once in a while certain things are achieved which we did not work for. This makes me to believe that some times God gives us things we do not really deserve it’s like his mercy on our life. From time to time we need this in order for life to be a place to live in), I got excellent grades in courses I loved because I believed I could do well with the mind set that I would pass very well and took time to read (Time and effort here been the price.). In terms of relationship, the author stressed a lot about integrity. I have had experiences where people are ready to go all the way to give you things and even loan you things because they know you as a man with integrity and intimacy between individuals or even large organization only build’s up when they find out the other person or organization is one with integrity, for it’s the same integrity that separates a successful business man from an unsuccessful one. A very good example in my life happened once when I took my mums car for repair and when i got to the store i found the price of the vehicle part far exceeded what i wanted to buy and would really find it time wasting and costly to go back all the way to my house to get the money back. I was left with no choice but to do just that when all of a sudden the trader offered to give me the vehicle part on credit. This man had only done business with me a few time and does not even know my contact address, you know he saw me as some one who would come back to pay, and that’s integrity.

On the area of negative simulation I have virtually grown up doing this since I was young, it’s a call for attention and encouragement which puts you in a negative mood and could disrupt other area of ones life, I have learnt now not to do such but to carry on positively as though nothing as happened. Finally my values in life has always been to view the other person as been capable of greatness, so I completely agree with the ideal that making people believe them selves and lifting them up is the way to been a good leader (with the willingness to learn {coach able}). It’s even written in the good book that if you lift others up you your self would be lifted up. In one of apostle Pauls writing he wrote that if you humble your self then you would be lifted up and if you have pride then you would be humble. A leader who is humble is usually loved by his followers while a pride and arrogant leader is mocked and despised by his followers. (Leaders should find time to discuss and help followers even in areas of their personal life, been patient and loving all the time with time they become like back bones to this individual becoming a true leader and not just a boss)

3. What are the most important new ideas or concepts you learned from this book? Please Explain.

The most important new ideals. I learnt how to be mentally tough, that is mental toughness by setting examples for ones self. Learning from experts and knowing that keeping up when the going seems tough gives mental toughness, then preparing for every substances or condition which might disturb you form your goals such as a bad weather that could prevent your training or even financial conditions which one should always prepare for (raining days). That is always being expectant that the unexpected could occur. Like losing you job with out been told could be very painful and put a lot of strain on any one unless of course you put some thins aside, i am not saying that one should live in constant fear which could result in negative effect a very good example is a look at what happen to Micheal, he had this big fear and dislike for his job, which might have resulted in his been dropped. I learnt that any thing we put in our heart be it negative or positive tends to happen, its like seed which if planted grows, our heart been the soil, how we take things makes it a fertile land for good or bad . So been mentally touch would determine some things that happen to us though not all but would surely determine how we react to things that happen to us. And Christ said in the bible that it’s not what goes in a man that defiles him but what comes out of him, meaning its our reaction and utterance to situation and condition that makes us who we are. The second new concept is the coachable factor; its all leaders need to know to be good leaders, been able to be lead and taught makes you coachable. Therefore you simply can also become a coach yourself.

4. Has this book challenged or changed your thinking in any way? If so, explain how?

This very moment (Period I am writing this book), I just got my result for my final year exams and I had 5 E’s as a result I got a second class lower because I was at the brink and needed all good grades. This turn out of event kept me in a very low spirit, I was having this feeling of not been good enough wanting to know what exactly went wrong and all the sort I was into negative simulation, I thought about every possible short coming this result could lead to. Until I read this book and the great examples in it, especially of people even with ill health making it back to good health and winning in every trail they have been faced with. I got motivated to continue. And i stopped replaying yesterday which normally made me feel incapable. This book gave me the courage to face people telling them what I got with no mix feeling because I knew that I was capable, I kept on going and thinking positive, learnt how to renew my strength through mental toughness and finally and most importantly I learnt some times even with impossible set backs and late starts I can get to that goal which I so desire, Aspiring despite my short comes in life.

5. Are there ideas in the book that you totally disagree with? If so, why?

Well on the area of sharing your ideals with people that is under the area of the 10 does and don’t point 7 to be specific. I totally disagree, I see sharing your ideals as something that should be done with people who would give you accurate advice and encourage you. Some people can be so negative that any thing you tell them, all they would do is to discourage you. You would know such people when they say words like, you don’t have enough money or knowledge or that no body in you family or country has been successful in doing it. I strongly believe that your ideals should be told only to positive people who would say their fair opinion, so we should look out for only such people before sharing our ideals.

6. What did you find most helpful and least helpful in this book?

Chapter six on self-confidence and self-transformation has been most helpful to me. This chapter gave me two points to reflect on. One is that people become great only when they become one with the bulls-eye that is to give all completely, using the popular 3D which comprise dedication, determination and discipline. And that even after you fail try to get out of your way, remove all blocks by constantly saying positive things that would empower you, then transform you. There is no area of this book that has not been helpful. In fact this book is too good to have such areas.

7. In 50 words or less, please describe the main idea the whole book is trying to convey.

The author is simply redefining and explaining how success can be achieved even to those who look least capable of having such. They simply have to first understanding the power of their mind and how paying the price is compulsory for success to occur. He explains how to get motivation and support, the places and people to go and learn from in order to condition your mind, body and soul into winning in any work of life. When the authors methodology can be learned and believe (for true learning only occur when you believe in what you do or practice).working on this believe
will make you a champion and transform your life in such a way that you would simply live that you can renew your strength and faith in your self, nothing would deter you from and you will draw strength from places you do not know it’s like the entering the zone. Applying this ideal will make you a winner in every area of your life

A. How interesting was the book to read? 8
B. How helpful were the content 8
C. How easy was it to understand 9
D. Would you recommend it to others 10
E. What is the overall rating 8

This has been an inspirational experience. I love this book with my heart. The author is so illustrative using real life experience of great achievers. I really encourage every success driven person to include it in their library and read it at least once every year.

Success Through Positive Mental Attitude
Assessment by Kekeje Efeturi Charles.

1. What Ideas were personally most important to you in this book? Do not simply list the ideas, but explain or discuss why they were important to you, using personal examples.

I think this book has more than1 ideal in it. It’s generally about understanding oneself and that what you become, how you survive adversity and difficulty is not a factor of where you come from or what kind of culture, race. That matter but your frame of mind. How one can harness their mind power to achieve with an attitude that is positive that’s why the title is Success through Positive Mental Attitude. It ‘s talks about how you can enrich your self day by day by doing every thing with positive mental attitude. The mind is like a talisman. This talisman has positive mental attitude (PMA) on one side and negative mental attitude on the other side.

If you can only turn and use mostly our positive mental attitude to face every success (in any way one see success of course). This ideal is so important because i have found out that i achieved things when i carry on with positive mental attitude in even times of failure. You know that it’s positive mental attitude that great men like Thomas Edison, or Abraham Lincoln had that’s why they were able to try and try, even in the face of failure, one who had Negative Mental Attitude would simply give up.

2. Can you relate the ideas or concepts in this book to your personal circumstances in life such as your relationships, your beliefs, your goals, your values, etc? Please use personal examples in your explanation.

I use to blame my environment and sometime even my lovely parents for my failure and short coming it was much later in life that i realized that in fact, what seems like short coming are in fact like spring boards it’s like the author says that you have a problem, good, how can i use this to my advantage. So i now use what seems like my problem to propel my self. Success through Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) has made me confirm my earlier realization that despite where I have been, despite my current environment (conditions) that i can stop all forms of hate and blame. Then be able to get to my desired goal.

Another great ideal is clear the cobwebs from your thinking. This particular ideal is the result of many a quarrel and war, these further degenerate to cause hunger and death. Clearing the cobwebs from my thinking has helped me in understanding people and their opinions. I found that a particular person may actually say something which was suppose to to be a simple statement but turns out sounding sarcastic, that his word might come out in a way he did not mean it to come out. In cases like this instead of reacting i first try to understand what he means, you know it’s what the author calls the meeting of the mind. I now constantly try to allow meeting of minds before drawing conclusion. My value for semantic has greatly risen i feel it should be added to philosophy sturdy in year philosophy sturdy in year one philosophy and logic curriculum.

3. What are the most important new ideas or concepts you learned from this book? Please Explain.

The most important new ideal is the area of affirming certain statement and repeating them which then triggers your sub-conscious mind to act on them. The mind has two parts the conscious and the sub-conscious mind, habits and learned behavior are controlled by sub-conscious mind while active thought process are
the conscious mind, now this sub-conscious has the ability to retain things which we have given up on before and maybe even forgotten about, it keeps on working on them, it pulls resources from stored memories and even form outside it, it taps from people (some how like telepathy), that’s why solutions to things just strings up from no where even when we where at that moment not thinking about them, that’s the sub-conscious mind working. I also learned how to motivate my self and others by learning the basic motives that is the 10 basic motivating factors if you can understand some one then you can easily use his motive and desire to motivate him. Motivation becomes motive in action.

4. Has this book challenged or changed your thinking in any way? If so, explain how?

This book has helped to clear the cobwebs from my mind. The great stories written in it are so good that with the experience gained from reading them, all those people i think i have gotten to a point where I now know that all is possible. Be it physical or
spiritual, On any thing you do, even in difficulties, when you keep doing what it is you do, with persistence and with Positive Mental Attitude. What ever you want will come to pass. God really a wants us to get what we desire in life that’s why he said that he has thoughts of good towards us and not taught of evil. So i guess our work in life is just to find the right keep or combination when we do every thing would just fall in place you know it would seem as though is this what you have been stress your self for. I repeat we must still be persistent that’s the same reason God says that we should knock and that he would open , seek and we shall find, ask and it shall be open. Many a time s one would want to ask why is it that certain things we desire in life we never get them and we have learnt that God knows our heart why then does he not just give to us well some of those question cannot really be answer but he demands that we still do some thing before he really opens for us. It taught me to write down even the smallest flash of ideals I receive. Then the 17 success principle has helped me to solidify my self working towards achieving and mastering them has been worth the while.

5. Are there ideas in the book that you totally disagree with? If so, why?

It’s hard to disagree with this book but i think on the area of how to find satisfaction in your job (chapter fourteen) I totally disagree because if the job is not for you it would not take you time before you get tired and discouraged. So i feel you can only
get along but you will hardly if not impossible perform at your peak. I feel one should really take time to find out what they are really good at before they take that job. Instead just been at a job because of financial gain you would end up messing up the job and not getting that satisfaction in life that you are really contributing though i know that it can the tough some times to get some certain kind of job may be because you lack the qualification at that moment while you are in school and you need the job. Well in this kind of situation i encourage seeing the job as a stepping stone then may be may be you will have a reasonable satisfaction that will keep you from complains and all

Then chapter eleven is on short cut to riches. Well simply put they is no short cut to through riches it has to be a step wise method one addition to another. The normal route has to do with acquiring certain ways of doing things be it in any profession or hand work then you give service or manufacture and sell then when you apply the 17 success principle or any other principle you know, then gradually people or customers get to trust you and then depend on you. You become a master at what it is you do, wealth and riches will then come your way of course you must also do all this with a Positive Mental Attitude. So there is no short cut to riches.

6. What did you find most helpful and least helpful in this book?

I found every chapter in this book helpful especially the magnificent obsession. I feel when you get obsess you might fail at a thing or two hundreds of times but you will still keep at it, it’s like i said the difference between failure and success, for successful people is always obsess. What do i mean it’s only and obsess person who is determined, driven and then discipline (I call them the 3Ds). Come what may there
are prepared for set back and go when the going gets tough, you people marvel at what keeps them going even when every body around them is tired and just looking
for a break, it’s only one with a magnificent obsession that can build and watch all there have suffered to build be destroyed and get down and start with worn out tools. Magnificent obsession is what makes men have motives that obsession becomes the driving force behind our motives. The author drives home his ideal with wonderful and insightful stories he has a gift of story telling, I love it.
Then on the area of been least helpful i am now someone with positive Mental Attitude so i do not see negative things i see every thing as platform or rungs. More over the whole of this book is wonderful, so nothing in it is of least help.

7. In 50 words or less, please describe the main idea the whole book is trying to convey.

It is simply trying to portray that success is attained quickly and with God on your side if you can master certain principles and apply them with Positive Mental Attitude (PMA). It covers all areas of life and the situations that one comes across in this life. On the area of life it covers form the inside (mind) to the outside (Body and health) How to work at your best bringing out the best in you and in people.

A. How interesting was it to read 8
B. How helpful were the content 8
C. How easy was it to understand 9
D. Would you recommend it to others 10
E. What overall rating you would give it 8

CONCLUSION
This book should be added along with other of Napoleon Hills books as a first year requirement in philosophy and logic curriculum in colleges and Universities. If people can learn the facts in this book on clearing the cobwebs, semantics, key to the citadel of wealth etcetera. Then problems between individuals and even nations would be reduced unless those individual see what to profit from trouble as it is the case in some situations. I am indeed for this rare opportunity given to me through this book and really appreciate what international global leadership has offered me. I say thank you from the bottom of my heart i would try to apply them and tell many people about this my new found knowledge.

Keys To Success
By Kekeje Efeturi Charles (Nigeria)

1. What Ideas were personally most important to you in this book? Do not simply list the ideas, but explain or discuss why they were important to you, using personal examples.

The most important ideals are the “Five keys” (1) Positive mental Attitude (2) Going the extra mile (3) Definiteness of purpose (4) Master mind alliance (5) Applied faith.
These five keys are the basic blocks & all the other keys are expansions of these with positive mental attitude one can simply remove all negative aspect in their lives this usually makes life rich and opens the door to opportunity and with positive mental attitude you begin to believe and remember that what ever you believe tends to happen. “As a man thinks so is he”. You begin preconditioning your self and this is simply the best idea in the whole of the universe for what separate the self made man and the very poor is simply their frame of mind that is why you find 2 different individual with same up bringing (Same background) same environment (circumstance) and even same school, same job you will find out that one of them with Positive Mental Attitude does better in every endeavor he goes into, he has better customer relationship, he is more persistent and has character and behaves in such a way that he is recognize by his work, such people can walk with kings and not lose touch with the common man.

Definiteness of purpose, normally when you understand what you want and how you intend to get there it means you have a Vision, a man with definite purpose is a man with a vision, such a man seems not to be distracted he is not afraid, neither his he intimidated, nor does he fear criticism, he is driven by his vision, They is a phrase form the Good book that says “write your visions upon the table so that when men sees it they would run”. That is when men know your purpose they would understand what keeps you going and just may even be motivated. A man with purpose has all the twelve success principles he tends to take control, plan and have creative vision, he tends to enforce discipline because he wants to by all means meet up with that his vision (Purpose like vision drives, create and gives hope) to an extent that he budget his time and money.

Then master mind alliance, this is the simply the step where most inspired young and brave men and women need to move to the next level in their lives, you know there have acquired the required knowledge and skill but lack the support (Motivation) and help there need. At this point they really need a mastermind group where they can stand on the shoulders of giants (Learning from the experience of others) and put head and finance together to make great and new world order. I have discovered this as a stage i must work on right now to gather like minds of all age and experience and together we can work towards a major definite purpose. Going the extra mile is enthusiasm, maintaining sound health and doing anything of immediate gain; it’s like the labour of love. Going the extra mile is what separates those with just dreams (desire) from those with burning desires.

Finally applied faith ; it’s comes from all knowing that what ever it is that you are doing or what ever you wish to achieve will be achieved applied faith is the bed rock of all invention . I think Plato or is it Aristotle said “Man know thy self” It’s truly only a man with faith that knows what he can achieve and even go beyond their limits. Generally looking at every at every thing in life we find out that persistent people are achievers, and such are people of faith. When you do same thing repeatedly you are doing it because you know you would one day arrive at where you want to be, faith is the key, faith is what makes miracles some happen suddenly while others take time depending on the state and condition. Let me refer to a verse in the bible where Jesus and his disciple where moving in a large crowd and a certain woman with an issue of blood (All year round flow of her menstrual cycle) drew close to him and touched him with the hope that if she does she would be healed and when she eventually did and got healed. Jesus then made one stunning statement, he said who touched me and to cut the story short the woman came forward and dropped to her kneels then Jesus concluded by saying your faith (Note this) has healed you. He simply means it’s her faith not just his Power that has caused her healing. Faith works wonder and it’s the last of the ideals i found most important in this book.

2. Can you relate the ideas or concepts in this book to your personal circumstances in life such as your relationships, your beliefs, your goals, your values, etc? Please use personal examples in your explanation.

I have always had purpose but it was never really definite, in so doing i did things just for the present, I did things to blend in (fear of criticism). I did things without asking my self what i stand to gain in the long run and how useful is it to my self and the society at large, As a result i went into series of relationship without a definite plan resulting in heart breaks and failure in both sides as such i have lost a lot of time, money in useless venture i have even made enemies simply just because my purpose was never really defined. This book has made me understand that every thing has to be done with purpose.

I have always valued good customer care and satisfaction, doing things for people that they least expect and doing it in ways they least expect, that is going the extra mile. Inspire teamwork. I really did not believe in teamwork until my final year project defense, i had to do this with 4 other guys it was not easy, it took a lot of sacrifice on each of our side to learn team spirit you know we knew we just had to stop fighting each other and trying to over do each other or trying to let others know you are the best. We failed for a while before some of us knew what was happening we had to look for a natural leader and team spirit. That experience was really great, it was worthwhile experience. Team spirit is really a new concept i must apply in my life.

Finally team work also relates to master mind alliance the only difference is that in team work together to fulfill just an immediate need not a definite purpose in the master mind alliance where every body moves together as one.

3. What are the most important new ideas or concepts you learned from this book? Please Explain

Most important new ideal i have learnt.
1. Thinking accurately (Thinking process)
2. Master mind alliance.
3. Cosmic habit force.

Thinking accurately might sound like what do you mean thinking accurately, how else does one think is there such a thing as inaccurate thinking. Thinking accurately is such a wonderful chapter because it explains how each seed of thought grows from an acorn to be a mighty Oak tree in our mind and manifest in works of life. Harvesting the bounty of our mind depends on a careful effort and preparation by each and every one of us. Thoughts have power, a thought sets a process on, and so it’s always good to think of things that would develop the mind both physically and spiritually

The two type of thought process are inductive and deductive. The best is actually reasoning from part to a whole. That is for you to conclude all draw your theories from parts and until you get the big picture. Inductive reasoning is the best but of course we cannot do with out deductive reason and to conclude I have learnt that it’s important to separate facts from opinion, fiction and unproven hypothesis and hearsay do not rely on things you are not sure of, know what’s important and what’s not “a man once said if you can separate between what’s important and those things which are not, then you are a genius.

The Master mind concept is ”The bomb” that is what I want every one to know that it’s what will change the future generation (it’s simple association) when you can be in a group you stand a chance, it’s like what people get from been in a church, community group program or even a school. You have different faculties and each of them have their teachers or lectures. So when lecturers and student come together regularly then great minds meets and the result you know. If every one in their work of life could have such an alliance then it’s easier to achieve.

Cosmic habit force: This is simply the effect of doing things habitually. Habit simple becomes you. Cosmic habit force is what makes every living creature, every particle of matter subject to the influence of things surrounding. When you move a goal and laid down plans you must work towards. It continuously with a routine and law of
nature of cosmic habit force takes over.

4. Has this book challenged or changed your thinking in any way? If so, explain how? Has this book challenged or changed your thinking in any way? If so, explain how?

This book has been helpful because my mind has really reinforced ideals i knew about but though not as much as now, i have been able to expand my views and it’s
motivating stories has made me even more determined to be what i want.

5. Are there ideas in the book that you totally disagree with? If so, why?

There is no ideal in this book that i completely disagree. The ideals will definitely be of help to all asunder. It’s a fabulous work.

6. What did you find most helpful and least helpful in this book?\

The ideal of inspiring team work- Actually where I work now (a small company) I had just 3 staff under me i had a great work relationship with two of them initially but then i found out that because we were getting close, you know women disrespect now came in and soon they began disregarding my word, so I withdraw from them and starting working on my own most of the time you just to let them know i could do what they do for me for my self, gradually they became strange close to me and just a little respect came in, But in all this our work was not flowing it was strained and uneventful. When i read this chapter on team spirit i knew from that moment that i had to work on that and i did, i found out work became joyful and we were able to even joke and still able to motivate them and maintain the respect. Well the least helpful was chapter 10. Accurate thinking, i was of help but it is the least helpful of all the other laws.

7. In 50 words or less, please describe the main idea the whole book is trying to convey.

Keys to success can be simply put as a book written to help and individual understand how his mind body works and how to condition this to work as he desires to achieve any worth while dream. It lays emphasis on 17 keys which are termed the 17 principle of personal achievement. Once an individual can master the use of these principle then putt them into practice in any endeavor so long as they are not against the rule of God and ethics of man, he then has a greater percentage of success. He would not believe success to be a lucky break but would make his break and seize any opportunity that comes his way simply because he is
prepared.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

1. How interesting was it to read? 8
2. How helpful were the content? 10
3. How easy was it to understand? 8
4. Would you recommend it to others? 8
5. What is the overall rating you will give it? 9

I wish any one who comes across this book will apply the principle because if they do they must succeed only the number of times they try at it would be different and vary from person to person. Like the saying only time will tell. For success is sure.

Real Magic
Assessment by Kekeje Efeturi (Nigeria)

1. What Ideas were personally most important to you in this book? Do not simply list the ideas, but explain or discuss why they were important to you, using personal examples.

All of the ideal in real Magic are actually very important but when i look at my self and what i think my society needs, i Find these four ideals most useful.

Getting your life on Purpose
Purpose simply means doing what right at the right time, it simply is doing the reason for doing anything. When you do things for the right reasons then you are said to be on purpose. Purpose is one of the three enlightenments class. Enlightenment through purpose is simple the highest. Learning to understand your role in your family, society and world at large, doing such to the best of your ability. The universe was created to be on purpose and every thing or being has its role and niche to fill in order for continuity to occur and for there to be balance. Man coming to life at first may seems baseless with all the situations and problems that plagues man but when you ask your self the question why, how does the little baby form in the mothers womb where the heart starts beating as from 6 weeks to 7 weeks, what is the reason for all this, then you study nature and you will see that every thing has a grand design and reason, this reason is purpose. You find that immediately that quiet invisible emptiness is already inside. All this occur because that soul is housed in that temporary body for a reason, then if any find that reason such a person is said to be on purpose. It’s important for man to get on purpose doing that which he is expected to do because he might be good on other things but if he is not on purpose he cannot get to his best and he is not align for a man on purpose has good God and nature helping him, when he gets on purpose every thing will seems magical. Man must go within and listen to the quiet voice within himself to get on purpose by listening to that quiet knowing, for unless he gets on purpose he will continue to know suffering and see life as outcome. It’s best when he shifts to enlightenment through purpose.

Becoming A Spiritual Being
After deciding to put your life on purpose, one has to become more of a spiritual being, You have to know that every thing is spiritual, spirit first before physical, that is you have to look at life as a spiritual being having a physical experience. For any thing that happens in the physical has happened in the spiritual already. Dr Wayne Dyer said that every thing that looks solid has emptiness. If you were to be given a power microscope and look critically at solid objects you will find emptiness or spaces between, for with such objects cannot exist, emptiness between musical notes that makes it music for emptiness makes all this things complete, if there were none it would be noise and not music. Man must seek that spiritual self to attain Gods desire for him. Our spiritual beings are so powerful that it defiles all physical experience. Jesus in the new testament said for these things we see are temporary (physical things such as the body, there are like open parenthesis they must be closed at a point in time to make any meaning) but those things we do not see are everlasting. This simply tells us that those things in man such as his thought, mind and soul which cannot be attributed to any particular place in the body are everlasting and must be harness and understood by man to be able to reach Gods desire and purpose for man.

Real magic and your Relationship
Man is a higher being but each and every man is connected to one another and to all the creatures of the earth and in tune with mother Nature, understanding the power of the mind is vital for every thing in any kind of relationship because “as a man thinketh so is he”. Now our thoughts transform to actions and our actions transform to habits and our habits transform to character and finally with character we obtain our destiny, so if we can think of giving love in a relationship and hoping that these relationship will return love someday, then that will eventually happen even when initially this might not be the case but you will bother because your life has shifted from been centered on outcome to purpose. When we decide that all we want to see in our relationship are understanding, love, forgiveness, giving help and mutual sharing then these things are what you will experience. Now i know for a man to exist he has to have relationship with other men, for any position he fills in life he has to get his life on purpose to experience real magic in any type of relationship be it between lovers, Colleagues, siblings and many more.

Overcoming The Big Lie
This ideal is very great because when the teenagers and youths can know that their jean or culture does not have any thing to do with determining who or what they become tomorrow then this country and world would have a great future. In Nigerian society we tend to be simple minded when we generalize that every igbo (The largest language in Eastern Nigeria) or Hausa (The largest Language in the northern region of Nigeria) youth usually behaves like this and would have to grow up to be like this, you know a Hausa boy who comes from a generation of farmers is made to believe that all his lineage has been farmers therefore farming is the only thing he can do (I am not saying farming is bad, it’s the first thing God gave man to do. So it’s great). That notion has to be changed if only they can believe that he can become any thing he chooses to be. Then a lot of great and dynamic people will be made. Overcoming the big lie will free people all over the world from mental slavery and let them drop any shackles which have been limiting them. Look at the situation certain area of the world you will find hunger and starvation, in area where they are so many able bodied men and women who maybe at of lack could not pay for schools believe that because they have not been to the four walls of school they cannot make it in life. They truly have to change that lie. You go to some neighborhood and would find so many jobless youth in areas that are loaded with dirt and grass all, just waiting for peanuts or grace or manna to fall form the sky. What stops them from keeping their environment clean with the free time they have, what stops them from forming cleaning companies where they would offer to wash your houses and drains, then cut your grass. They sometimes go to the extent of blaming the ground where they were born saying that they is nothing but little wonder that you would still find animals striving in such environment, where do they get their food from. I know it’s not easy but if we believe and add a little faith some day that perfect life we believe in will be ours.

2. Can you relate the ideas or concepts in this book to your personal circumstances in life such as your relationships, your beliefs, your goals, your values, etc? Please use personal examples in your explanation.

Ideals in this book affect my life in lots of ways such as in my spiritual life, i need to learn how to meditate and go within to get in tune with my spiritual self. I find my life to always be in motion, i live in society where they is constant movement and little time to reflect in peace and quiet from the rising of the sun to it’s setting, we are bombarded with noise and pollution, so getting quiet time to meditate can be pretty tough. But i have decided to devise a way to do that, find a quiet place where I can go to find my self and put my life on purpose in all aspect of my life both in my relationship with people and in my growth. The ideal in this book have been helpful i feel if I can work on them i will be able to restructure my life to be as i have always wanted it to be both spiritually and physically.

3. What are the most important new ideas or concepts you learned from this book? Please Explain.

The most important new ideal or concept to me in this book is keeping focus on purpose rather than outcome. That is keeping your mind, body and soul totally in the moment of your activity and to rid of your self of a pre occupation with valueless things, rethink, making an inventory of every thing you own, there is a saying that if you put value on property they would be like coins in your pocket the moment you acquire ten things you put ten more coins into your pocket. I believe that these two things i have mentioned above summarize all that can solve my countries problems. If they can stop been greedy by letting go then they would be more sharing and planning so that it can reach all asunder then life will seem magical for the populace because the economy will now suit every body.

4. Has this book challenged or changed your thinking in any way? If so, explain how?

This book has changed the way i see earthly possession and changed my orientation in relationships, prosperity, physical health then finally the big lie concept. I use to worry myself with how to obtain more possession every day not knowing that the best possession is the power of my mind and i learnt how to detach myself from trying too much to own things when all this things will come naturally when i realign myself. That’s why the bible says seek ye first they kingdom of God other things shall be added onto him. So seeking is getting to know him and what is required of you if you can do all this then you shall have material things of the world even the right spouse will come you don’t need to search or work hard for it it would just come, all that is required is to get you self online (Presence of God. Getting in touch with your inner self is the connection to God. Dr Myles Munroe says the Presence of God is Eden and this is the environment that man is meant to be to function well). When you can go within and know and find peace in your soul connecting with God then possession will come without problem. You know the saying that more money more problem well that is attributed to worldly wealth for real wealth from god is more money less problem that’s why the Bible says that money answers all problems. I have also learnt that we can base our relationship on thinking of what we want it to be like, we would get past outcome to purpose and would generally love almost all the time then love these individual for what they are even for what they seems to lack such you would find love. You would be able to understand the value of space and letting your partner do that which they have chosen to do even if you do not want to or love to do such.

5. Are there ideas in the book that you totally disagree with? If so, why?

I want to disagree with the aspect of letting go completely of your desires to get wealth or possession it’s i know that some times these possessive feeling can be hard to shoulder but i believe i must believe and hold pictures of what they desire. As is your kind of desire so is your kind of search, i want to believe that it’s mostly what you desire that you obtain, may be i am wrong (Will try and find out more on these topic). Dr Wayne Dyer is saying don’t have any desire or plans. What then is your motivation, like i said may be i am wrong and still thinking in terms of outcome instead of purpose but i am still learning.

6. What did you find most helpful and least helpful in this book?

I found the entire book quite helpful but what i found most helpful is putting your life on purpose and then knowing that no matter the circumstances that radiating love is everything, that makes you have a real magic experience, you cannot give what you do not have like the proverbial orange which when squeeze will bring out only orange and nothing else, learn to give love at all time because love answers all. The knowing that God is love and God made man with love and made him (man) to love. Some say love is the greatest word to exist and i believe them.

7. In 50 words or less, please describe the main idea the whole book is trying to convey.

Real magic is possible in our life in all aspect if we can suspend disbelief and go within to discover that emptiness within to empower your self believing and applying love to all things and in all relationship, then we can operate in a realm of purpose basically by changing and willing our mind.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

1. How interesting was it to read? 8
2. How helpful were the content? 9
3. How easy was it to understand? 8
4. Would you recommend the book to others? 10
5. What is the overall rating of the book? ` 8.5

The Author is truly blessed and has been too helpful for me at this point in time. I hope God will open the heart and mind of any body who reads this book so they can grow, then change their world.

What To Say When You Talk To Yourself
Assessment by Kekeje Efeturi Charles (Nigeri)

1. What Ideas were personally most important to you in this book? Do not simply list the ideas, but explain or discuss why they were important to you, using personal examples.

The most important is the New Techniques, This new techniques are five in number
* Silent self talk.
* Self speak.
* Self conversation.
* Self write.
* Finally Tape Talk

All this comprise the new technique which is actually self talk in different ways.
Silent self talk this is the kind of conversation we have with us, that is either conscious or unconscious, conscious could be in form of reasoning or dialogue with our self that we never actually reason out audible, it include every thing that you think about your self and what you make you self believe to be or what you make your self know you can be. It is this getting all negative aspect of your thought which you tell your self to positive aspect, this is very important because it here your behavior starts from since you constant act as you think and think as you tell your self to and believe. An example when you receive a call instead of been fearful that it might be a bad call as you tell your self try to tell you self that this incoming call is going to spring me to the next level and it is going to be so positive that it will be a miracle if you tell you self all these you will make picking calls a positive. Many people want to learn new things but keep on finding them self telling them selves that they can not, example of such self talk are like i can not drive, i am too slow, i am clumsy should be changed to i can drive it is easy, i am smart after all i did this and that (Bringing memories and pictures of what you have succeeded on before can be a lift). I am energetic etcetera.

Self speak; when having conservation with others or when you speak to your self out loud, that is when you are audible then you are said to be having self speak. It is important the words and statement you alter because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A man only speaks the way he thinks except he is making a conscious effort to say contrary (Then that will be acting). It is what we are and the values we believe in that we speak and the more we say what we believe the more our mind register them, The mind gets input from the senses and hears from what people say and hold it but when we do speak those things to then it will mean we have begin practicing what we have heard and then the mind starts to register them on a more permanent basis. Self speak can be change when we watch every word we alter and rephrase them to come out positive, in such a way we will be speaking positive all the time eventually we become positive speaking people and this would help both you and those around you. You become and interesting and inspirational person to be around.

Self conversation; this kind of conversation is almost the same with self speak because you are audible that you can hear your self and any body listening to you can also hear you but only that in this case you are holding a conservation with your self. So you speak and answer you self. It is quite interesting and strong though you might startle people around you but it is so strong that you would not mind. When you need to strengthen your mind before facing a crowd or a panel you would find this very useful, i have formed the habit of reading Psalm 23 from the Bible out laud when i need to be inspired and to remind my self of the promise of the Lord. I feel confident and relief. Example you might find you self held up in traffic and been irritated at every driver that comes too close or blocks you way even in the smallest way. You could have a conversation like this, Why am i angry of pissed up with him? You could now answer i wonder my brother, well it is not good for me to be angry with what i cannot change, then you answer again exactly just cool down what will be will be and if you don't cool down you might not be as smart as you always do, which could result in an accident. Then you will answer alright i will cool down and listen to the radio. It can go like that and you will find it not only comfortable but you somehow would not feel like the only one there, you will kind of feel like you are not alone.

Self write; in this case you actually write out every thing you think is motivating to you. You know write you self talk word for word to keep you going any time you need to inspire positive changes when you feel very negative. Self write can be quite fun to do, i believe that what we hear we can forget, what we see we can recall but once we write we never forget. Not only does it stick, we can go back and read it any time.

Tape talk ; this is also very strong because we people usually behave different when we hear voice unlike when we just read, Words could capture you more because of word command, when we listen to take cassette or CDs of inspirational speakers we are actually doing this. We can even record our own voice and listen to our self talk to uplift and change our old programs.

2. Can you relate the ideas or concepts in this book to your personal circumstances in life such as your relationships, your beliefs, your goals, your values, etc? Please use personal examples in your explanation.

The author has been able to fill in the missing link in what people need to change their mind program. Grow in a country where parent who love their children would encourage them but in a negative way, they actually want the best in them but they do it in such a negative way such as words like why can't you be like Simon your Big brother or you are so slow. In actual sense they want to encourage them so that the will be like their big brother and they want them to be smart but the have done it level one or two talk such that why can't you be like sounds in the mind of the child like i can't be like my brother and this never gets the desired effect instead they might end up getting them to act contrary to what the Simon is because they have tried then decided that they cannot be like their brother.

Some times confusion about personality can be so strong because they say you are you and cannot be like any body then they turn around and say you cannot be like so and so. I like most other young person had to learn the hard way in so doing i found out the value of imagination (Picture what you desired in your mind) But like all solution it was not complete on it's own until i read this book and found the power of words in our lives. I now combine both in making my self and teaching others to get to be what ever they want to be.

3. What are the most important new ideas or concepts you learned from this book? Please Explain.

I have two new ideals i really love
* New discovery in chapter four.
* A portion of changing habits (chapter six) which is on putting your self talk in the present.

New discovery; i have always known that we recall things and store information in our brain but exactly how it does it has never really occurred to me but under this chapter the author went through series of research work done by neuroscientists saying that the brain operates very much like a home personal computer, it records what goes in through input in this case our senses it then takes these information and stores them up like programs so it can use them and retrieve them. It reacts to conditional learning as a result of what it has stored about that thing before it simply goes to the file cabinet and retrieves them, which is why habits are controlled by the brain because it has stored every thing accordingly. Now we tend to find it difficult to change habits because the brain has a filling method in which it recognize them and sorts them according to what previous stored memories it looks like. Like the library method where you have biology section, history section etcetera. This method of storage helps in retrieval too. Because it will use reference to remember certain things that is why you can remember certain things by using first letter of how it sounds, all this is as a result of its storing method.

All under new discovery he also talked about how the brain reacts to impulse and how this computer is like the protective system since it responds to input just like a computer.

Then putting your self talk in the present is a very wonderful concept in the sense that it can help to prevent procrastination, helping you also to be specific and more goal oriented, because when changing a habit you there fore try to affect a new attitude this works when you build such attitude around a subject you are currently working. They is a Chinese saying that what is learnt and not practices is not yet learnt. It there fore means that you must use positive present tense and verb when you change your self talk.

4. Has this book challenged or changed your thinking in any way? If so, explain how?

This book has pushed me forward it has been helpful in understanding completely and you know with complete understanding you will simply have faith because you cannot understand some thing and still doubt it and your faith comes alive when understanding blossom, then when faith comes alive you move mountains, this gives a lot of confidence. I now live 75% positive and i am working to make it at least 90%.

Then because of the information i now teach people a more powerful way of changing themselves, i find my self telling colleagues what i do that keeps me going in all condition and how they can learn to be like that, i also find my self encouraging customers on what to do to propel their business and them selves forward with their thoughts and words, from the moment they wake up, using powerful word like “Today is a great Day”.

5. Are there ideas in the book that you totally disagree with? If so, why?

The author said just positive thinking does not help i believe it does, it's just that for some they need more than just such words, well it is not every body that believes with out seeing so it normal but i actually do know that it works for many like it did for me.

6. What did you find most helpful and least helpful in this book?

Every aspect of the book is actually helpful, even the area i do not agree on it gave me an opportunity to understand and improve.

7. In 50 words or less, please describe the main idea the whole book is trying to convey.

Self talk is actually changing the negative aspect of our mind to positive by rephrasing all we say to our self and to others in a positive way. This method is as a result of the old programming which has been stored over a period of time in our filling cabinets which is done in an orderly manner for easy referencing, because of this our brain mostly accept the old thoughts or input which it is use to. Self talk helps to make this desired change.

Rating

2. How helpful were its content? 8
3. How easy was it to read? 6

5. Would you recommend it to others? 10

Giant Steps
Assessment by Kekeje Efeturi Charles (Nigeria)

1. What Ideas were personally most important to you in this book? Do not simply list the ideas, but explain or discuss why they were important to you, using personal examples.

The most important ideal to me is “THE VOCABULARY OF SUCCESS.” Here Anthony Robbins stressed on the importance of spoken communication, the power in words. Words can cause all kinds of emotions from the one spoken to. Our words carry what we feel about any thing.

Therefore the words which are spoken to you can go a long way to influence you. Therefore the vocabularies we use, comes from within and describe how we feel about a situation. When we use different words or phrase, we get a different reaction. when we speak to our selves or to others. Sometimes a metaphor is better used to answer and direct a desired effect. We can therefore use words to make an event happy or happier, like wise we can make an event look like a major problem or minor one. Our words, have the power to heal or to kill.

The Author used a lot of examples, from the times of Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King to motivation speakers of today how they used great speech to change the world.

The Author now concluded on how to transform your vocabulary, so that you can get leverage on your life.

2. Can you relate the ideas or concepts in this book to your personal circumstances in life such as your relationships, your beliefs, your goals, your values, etc? Please use personal examples in your explanation.

There are so many great ideals in this book and to crown it up these ideals are written in a very simple phrase, these are taken day by day, making for better understanding. It is like taking baby steps, though you will be slow but you get to your goal without getting tired. Unlike when you take bold leaps you seem to be making great progress but you end up been tired and worn out.

I have learnt more from this book than i have learnt at one time from any other book, i truly had opportunity to correct many things such as my vocabulary, my ideal on healthy exercise (Aerobic and anaerobic), under putting it all together, your personal compass etcetera.

I have always underestimated the power of words, i had a way of annoying people with my speeches and i have always wondered why i got emotional after saying or hearing certain spoken word. I have gone through the program in the book, and i think i am better in communication.

3. What are the most important new ideas or concepts you learned from this book? Please Explain.

The greatest new ideal is putting all together; under this chapter the author discussed health, finances, relationships and code of conduct. All very wonderful ideals, that demands the most attention. I have really needed to understand why i still carry a little fat around my waist line, irrespective of the amount of workout i perform. But with my understanding on the aerobic form of exercise, i now know what to really do. Financial advices were very wonderful.

4. Has this book challenged or changed your thinking in any way? If so, explain how?

It help to reinforce my stand on finances, i read something close to what were written under that chapter, in the book written by Robert Kiyosaki; “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” Where he dwells a lot on what the rich do, that's keeps them making money.

I also, have been able to absorb a lot in all other areas that changed me from within, changes that lay strong foundation. The author did more than explained, he taught me method, I don't regret reading this book and i will get to read it very well again.

5. Are there ideas in the book that you totally disagree with? If so, why?

I kind of want to disagree on the Chapter 2. I find it very difficult to belief that pain can be used to any advantage at the moment where it occur. Pain is used to prevent further pain. When we feel pain response, it is like a safety device. For example if you burn your hand with fire, you repel by withdrawing. That is how pain is to man; hardly can you use it to link to any thing, other than to prevent it from occurring again.

Many people will feel a great depression in their emotions, if pain is associated. Recalling old times for the purpose of using it as leverage, it is almost impossible for many, emotions bring back too many familiar fears. I completely disagree with this ideal.

6. What did you find most helpful and least helpful in this book?

How to use your action signals.
Understand that all your emotions, can serve you. Your emotional reactions are stimulus from within, which tells you of the need to perform a specific action. What your feelings you generally get things done. You can just be working and you will find out that your mind is not settled, every thing looks well but you cannot get over it, you get to check every thing over and over until suddenly you find out that you where supposed to go for an appointment, You immediately take action.

Learning to use your action signal is very useful for bringing out your talents, where your mind tells you to do some thing, in a specific way instead of how you do it normally.

A general feeling of frustration, is an action signal for you to try a different approach, or to stop completely for the time been. For example there are various thought processes involved in design process. They are
(1) Brain storming
(2) Frustration
(3) Hibernation
(4) Eureka.

Now brain storming involves all process involved in trying to find a solution to the given problem on hand, while it can be a lengthy process it can be difficult to solution mostly for problems which have a new approach entirely, then after long hours of brain storming frustration sets in. When you get to this point the best thing to do is to put away work (Frustration here is a very strong action signal). Finally you to rest, it might while resting, that you just stumble on your solution. In most cases it just pops into your heard, thanks to frustration.

The Author wrote about five steps to take, these are
(1) Identify what you're really feeling.
(2) Acknowledge and appreciate your emotions.
(3) Get curious.
(4) Get confident that you can handle this emotions immediately
(5) Get excited, and take action.

I get results when i follow these steps, it is very useful.

7. In 50 words or less, please describe the main idea the whole book is trying to convey.

The Book, Giant steps. I can say is a step wise method of examining your self and gradually bringing out the best in you. It begins with your decisions you make, from the minute details to the major ones, setting your goals, how decision making can keep you in focus, then the series of events that leads to success. How can you use your pains or pleasures to improve on the conditions of your life? Many of these things are the reason why the reactions occur in the first place. The power to create and destroy lies in your level of beliefs. Our view in life can be very useful in the long run. What are the meaning we attach to any event, know the power of belief because when a larger number belief then it most likely becomes the other of the day. What kind of question do you ask your self, do these questions put you on the right track? We generally learn faster when we ask question, therefore question are very useful when shaping our lives.

Success is best achieved when you make a habit of doing those things which would get you there by conditioning yourself, it will be like rewiring. The kinds of words we use is very important. The importance of our emotions and how we react to these emotions generally helps us to get us on track, identifying values and rules, using references, then putting it all together, by having a balance in our health and fitness, what really is the difference and how to balance them, handling our finances and changing all negative beliefs which can hinder us from making ends meet.
Then after achieving you then give back, that is the ultimate way you get to pay nature and man kind back, for all your achievement and making the road easier.

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

1. How interesting was it to read. 7
2. How helpful were the contents 10
3. How easy was it to read? 8
4. Would you recommend it to others 9
5. What is the overall rating of the book 8

Comments: With out mincing words, I really appreciate this book. I found it far more helpful than any other book i have read, because the author taught me through his methods. The contents are broken down in such a way that even a lane man would learn easily. It takes a lot of time to completely go through though, because it was written with the intent of getting an idea for every day, that is, one day one idea, this kind of method make for easy reading but in the long run it can make it tiresome after a while.

I truly admire Anthony Robbins style of writing. I am sure he would make a very good lecturer for any of the forth coming leadership seminar organized by IIGL.

I want to once again compliment the good work Mr. Micheal and the organization are doing, they have really achieved a lot in such a short while. I am currently in a job hunt but i know when i secure my job, i will become a contributing member, and play much more active roles.
Thank you

Non Violent Communication
Assessment by Kekeje Efeturi Charles (Nigeria)

1. Discuss the main ideas that you found most important in this book and discuss why they were important to you?

This book contains a lot of ideas, the main ideas I found most important is the fact that our every day communications can be examined and rephrased in such a way that we can remove words which instead of standing completely for what they were spoken for they sound judgmental, conclusive and assuming. These words tend to produce friction and resistant on the part of the receiver, at the end our intended result might not be gotten, and even when we do get such it could be it was done out of fear or belief but not out of own or personal will.

Given such it means that most often times when we communication our result is not out of good will or free will but it is conditioned, and were these conditions not there it would have been otherwise. This ideal is most important to me because i come from a social background that uses force and coercion to get result both from our loved ones and all those we meet in our course daily be it at work or in any kind of gathering, even most of the religious preachers have the language of filled with the use of fear to win convert and as such they get fearful believers who end up creating a deeper crisis of fear in our society and religious places.

The result we get outwardly might look positive but once in a while we do get baffling reactions or results that make no meaning or understanding. A good example for greater clarity is like a teenager suddenly defiling all orders he had grown up with and orders his parents have assume he has conformed to, these parents wonder and may even start putting blame on their children’s friends, but the truth of the matter may lie on the way of communication, they have made the such a child to conform by their harsh words or words made to make the child feel guilty but when these children become teenagers the throw aside guilt and don’t have any care for harsh words they begin to manifest seemly new behaviors.

I believe Non Violent Communication will go a long way to help change my society bring more peace to tribal war ravage areas and better deal agreement between the restive and unemployed youth and the government. Both of whom never seem to be able to understand each other and even when they do a bit, they never really can fully appreciate the pact because both has not been able to bring themselves to look at the situation in an unbiased way Secondly i now understand how to make request and not demands which to me were made to be as request. And in communicating with NVC, my observations, feelings, needs and request are expressed.

2. Can you relate the ideas or concepts in this book to your personal circumstances in life such as your relationships, your beliefs, your goals, your values etcetera? Explain.

I wake up by 4.30 am African time to prepare and go to work, i happen to live with one lady (A close family friend) and any time she wakes up in the morning she wakes up any time she hears me moving around and getting ready, after she wakes up she just go around complaining and looking for what’s wrong with the house, condition of things and many more, most often she gets into my way and it really pisses me off, so I normally answer her with silence or in some cases with positive judgmental answer. In some cases i sometimes don’t even bother to give her any answer which ends up aggravating the whole thing, the ends up flaring up and saying that i make her feel stupid with my silence and she accuses me of putting my statement in such a way even when i do speak. I had this feeling she about her always looking for some thing to blame and says things in nagging ways, with this kind of thought i use to get really mad most morning but thank God for NVC, i have been able to understand that even if she is actually a fault finding person and always putting the blame on some one else. I can now reply her in peaceful and positive ways. I have been able to really discuss with her about how i feel when she wakes up and starts find faults or discussing events that had not gone well previously, I let her know how i love starting my days and would not want to burden my day with faults and problems.

3. What are the most important new ideas or concepts you learned from this book? Please explain.

1. Essence of communication.
2. Observing without evaluating in communication.
3. Taking responsibility for our feelings.
4. Receiving empathetically (General empathy).

I have always viewed communication as a spontaneous process. I see communication as something we just do maybe in response to another person, but i have been made to understand that communication is as a result of needs either in response to a need or as a request for certain needs. All communication are either verbal or non-verbal and are usually meant to satisfy certain needs. It is just to meet our needs that communication came to be. For example it is difficult to understand the needs of babies because they have limited ability to communication and even when they do they usually repeat the same thing (such as crying) for different needs, but as they grow they begin to learn how to express these needs. This has made real communication difficult. People feel emotional pains towards certain things that have been done to them by family members of friends but do not really get down to telling them how hurt they feel, either because they feel these people will say they are unappreciative or will not
understand them, in fact they might take them for granted. This inability to express what we feel puts a lot of strain on many relationships, some of which have been going for years but those involve still find it difficult to say what they feel about certain things. The greatest strain is mostly between parents and their teenage children. Parents and daughters (Menstruation, sexual relationships etcetera), parents and their son (What’s good or bad).

NVC has brought a very wonderful revelation that will be most helpful to me in all my relationships and for peace in my country especially in ethnic violence and youth restiveness. I have found out that they are really never understood even when they come together for the purpose of peace they end up fighting one another instead of peace. On the area of observing without evaluating, this is such a great idea to learn. Any where i go i observe speeches which are judgmental or conclusive without giving the other opportunity to express them selves we either as a result of been a little biased or impatient then to mark quick evaluation, this observation are usually expressed verbally. When we put evaluation in our minds, we do not really listen to people and if we help pictures of such evaluation in our minds we never really get what we want from people we observe. It’s such an important idea; i will preach it every where.

Taking responsibility for our feeling, this has been a habit by so many people from the highest to the lowest. They look for blame instead of more opportunity they look for who to put the blame on, I was also into this habit, i have actually noticed but tried looking at life as a leap of faith and i say it’s the will of God, for any thing which i put blame on another person, i took that person as a vessel of the will of God, but come to think of it, it was like putting the blame on God. This idea has help to transform me further into know how to take responsibility without blame our selves or blaming the other empathy. I love to say this idea is “whao”. It is the grandest of all ideas, it is the best idea which i syet to come and has been written about. The moment we look with empathy and speak with empathy we begin to understand people that when we eventually speak. We will do so with empathy. This book has the idea that when we look with empathy we do not put the blame on either our selves or the other party but look at why we feel that feeling is coming from the other person. When we learn first what empathy entails then, work towards first believing in the empathy towards our selves. It is like our empathy opens our hearts and we can begin to see the feelings and need behind every person action, we just beginning to understand and when we speak to them we do so in such an
empathetically way that our speeches are not filled with confrontation, evaluation or judgmental statement we ask question with empathy. Empathy is simply the best idea.

4. This book challenged or changed your thinking in any way? If so explain how?

Yes i have been challenged. This book has challenged me to actually make moves to change the way i react to people words or actions, usually what i use to see as wickedness i no longer see as such but i see as a way of thinking that is the result of some other reasons. I look with empathy and see where they are coming from. I am challenged to speak empathically because i really do want to make positive changes to people in what ever way i can. I want to also be able to appreciate the way and give people the opportunity to speak by taking the time to hear them out and get down to the ideals behind their stories that’s where the solution comes

5. Are there ideas in the book that you totally disagree with? If so, explain

None, every idea in this book is reasonable practicable and i belief has effects in creating the required change.

6. What did you find most helpful and least helpful in this book?

The most helpful and the least helpful? The most helpful is expressing anger fully. This been
chapter 10. While the least helpful is chapter 11 that is “The protective use of force”.

7. In 50 words or less, please describe the main idea the whole book is trying to convey.

A. How interesting was it to read? 8
B. How helpful were the contents? 10
C. How easy was it to understand? 9
D. Would you recommend it to others? 10
E. What is the overall rating you would give it? 9

Commet: It is a wonderful book that is easy to understand and it really brings out the essence of communication is a must read for those searching for ways to soften different relationship as a result of on either partner or friend not sharing what they really feeling or need. Most society teaches shyness from expressing our need. My Nigerian society sees expressing our needs in certain areas as a form of weakness. It will take a lot for me to fully put it into practice but i advice all to try as much t do so because i feel it could help to soften strain in understanding each other

Power of Intention
Assessment By Kekeje Efeturi (Nigeria)

1. Discuss the main ideas that you found most important in this book and discuss why they were important to you?

The main item is learning to co-create our life and society through the practice of intention.
The power of intension can be achieved when we understand that the earth and every thing in it where intended and have intension. Life is on intension, the birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and flowers in the fields all are in intension. Take a look at the way life comes to be from infinity into the parenthesis called life, where man gets to occupy this temporary earth and temporary body as a result of intension.

The big question this book has come to solve is how to get to intension and answer the question on what really is intension. Understanding the face of intension is essential and getting your self realigned with certain requirement is important, the greatest of this is the ego block and our way (Thought blocks). To live outside ego, you get to realize that you are

1. Not what you have or your possession do not make who you are.
2. You are not what you do or achieve.
3. You are not what people say of you.
4. You are not separate from God.
5. You are not separate from other people.
6. You are not separate from your dreams.

This book has influenced the way i see things, i look at things differently and these things actually change.

I am a typical African with big ego problem. I have always believed that i was smart and that I could achieve things only because i was more imaginative than the average Joe, but with experience and time i have found out that kind of thought could be like a road block, real achievement can only come from the source (GOD) the power of intension is like a guild to the channel.

When we pray, we are actually communicating our intension and this will come to pass by all means when we understand that the source always works with the 7 faces of intension.

In the Bible the book of Habakkuk, chapter 2 verses 2, it reads “And the Lord answered me, and said write the vision, and make it plain upon tables that he may run that readeth it.”

To me what that verse means by writing it down you have intended it.

While verses 3 reads “ For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come it will not tarry.”

I have learnt that my intension when not blocked by ego or indirect thoughts usually manifest. I also learnt that for things to really happen we have to let go and let God. That is i have to believe in the source completely. He is my senior partner and will not choose me as a partner if he does not believe in me.

2. Can you relate the ideas or concept in this book to your personal circumstances in life such as your relationships, your beliefs, your goals, your values, etc? Explain.

Like i have said in 1, i have worked hard but believed that my achievement where as a result of hard work, I have had ego the size of mansions that i find difficult been simple, i want to be sophisticated. But like i said i tried but never really got what i wanted until now, i never knew that my fear and depression where road blocks to my source.

When ever i use to pray and cried to God because I felt lacking, i was actually not working according to his ways because his ways i believe wants us to be believers to the end with unshakable faith.

Learning about the abundant and infinitesimal nature of the source has also been an eye opener. This source never works in terms of lack.

I discovered that my fear has always been to work hard so that i could stop lacking never realizing that I have already been blessed with enough and if I acknowledge this including the area about my been a perfect being more and more will flow from that source where enough and unending abundance resides. Years back i have always wondered what people mean when they say there is perfection in imperfection. What they actually mean is even though it might look
imperfect in its manufacturing it is actually perfect. I have goals of actually creating jobs and peace can only be attained when we intend then leave every thing in the hands of the source and live without blocks and ego then what ever i get will be on the power of intension such things as the right messages, the right jobs, the right people will just keep showing up at the right time. i have intended and left my dreams in the hands of intension. Knowing and thinking in the power of the source.

3. What are the most important new ideas or concept you learned from this book? Please explain.

I have learnt that to fear the future or to get depressed at certain turn around of events shows a lot of lack of faith in the source of our senior partner. I have also learnt that to attain success in any way we see success we have to know we are already in that which we desire.

We are successful and intend more success, come to think about it we attain greater success when we praise is give thanks even in things we believe have not achieve, this is because in believing we have manifested great success.

I have learnt the meaning of ego and how it robs us of our inheritance and true power. It does a lot of damage of face value. If we can put ego aside we will naturally be more creative and beautiful.

The most important and greatest new ideal to me is the area of self respect. It has a close link to me with ego. When you do not really respect your self you then to have a very big ego problem most egolistic individuals uses this as a way to block their lack of self respect without truly knowing it. No self respecting person will rely on what he has as property to judge himself, neither will a self respecting person rely on what people know about him or say about him and use that to rate himself. This topic on self respect is one great idea

4. Has this book challenged or changed your thinking in any way? If so, explain how?

I believe i have written about changes this book has caused in my life, in previous chapters, but for the sake of emphasis i will recount one. The greatest change still remains leaving a life of
stress and unnecessary hard work to living a life on intension.

It does not mean i no longer work hard, i still do but i now ensure that they is no excess stress and that I do not hinder the flow or connection from the source with my own, that is i now work harder to ensure that my hard work is flowing with intension. I try to catch my self when ever i feel my ego speaking or acting up i have learnt to suppress my egolistic behaviors and acts and in so doing , be my self therefore i have a deep understanding and respect for my self.

My career witness a certain blow some time ago, i use to work for my uncle’s firm, a communication firm which went bankrupt and was liquidated, i was meant to direct this firm but ever since it went down my uncle has looked at me as a good for nothing person and always made me feel unworthy every time we meet, I grew up with a lot of faith in my self but the moment i went through that failure and with the way my uncle took it i began to doubt and the fear i had mentioned earlier about future increased and no one can imagine the feeling of suddenly feeling fearful about all your goals and dreams, but with this book i have now decided that i will respect me because my senior partner still trust me to still be a partner in the firm.

5. Are there ideas in the book that you totally disagree with? If so, explain

i will not say i completely disagree but its just that i do not really agree with the face of respectability. It just not such a great fact about intension I believe. I want to believe for you to be co-creative you have to be in sync with what you want to create. I am a little skeptic on how receptability make any impact.

6. What did you find most helpful and least helpful in this book?

What i found most helpful was obstacles to connection to connection to intension, these also seem to be obstacles to us living fulfilled lives it links us to the great gains that comes up when you can overcome this obstacles, you get to attain a stress free, tranquil and beautiful life, you can get to connect with the right experience and the right people. While the least helpful is Appreciating and expressing the genius in us, its ironical that we condemn ego but talk about us been genius, i believe true genius never really dwell on their ability they just see it as a duty entrusted on them by nature to create certain things so as to help nature on man. The genius who says he is a genius will actually dwell on thoughts of his achievement and what he has
attained.

For examples most wealthy entrepreneur believes and would accept compliments that they are genius, so I want to say that chapter is dwelling on building ego which would hinder the connection

7. Please rate this book on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

A. How interesting was it to read? 8
B. How helpful were the contents? 9
C. How easy was it to understand? 8
D. Would you recommend it to others? 9
E. What is the overall rating you would give it? 9

Comment: Once i read the first few pages i knew intention has brought me another teacher, it came at a time i was desperate to understand my ability and stop undervaluing my self.

Thank God, i have done it without using ego. People boost their beliefs by building ego, egos the size of castles but egos have a way of failing you when the right compliments are not made to you or when you meet some one who does not regard you or respect you, even when that person realize that you have attained a lot both material wise and achievement. Ego results in all the negative things such as depression, anxiety, fear etcetera.

A lot of people are suffering serious depression today unlike years before, i believe it is because these people dwell more on egotistic ideas, you will find out that the society is more concerned about who has and what you have. People who accumulate a lot either through bad or good means are looked upon as individuals with status.

I will love to conclude with an advice to young people to learnt to drop Ego, this prevents one from going all the way to developing their talents or gift because we are afraid of what others will say or concerned about what will come out of it (in terms of immediate gains).

I will Love to thank the Organization and Mr. Micheal for this book, it indeed has blessed me and therefore my generation. We will no longer lack.

Unlimited Power
Assessment by Kekeje Efeturi. (Nigeria)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

The book cannot be said to contain single idea. It is a totality of various ideas from the inside out. He wrote about the nature of wealth creation and the history of the wealthy from the time the warlords where the wealthy where the Kings and the kings friend to then to the capitalist period where those with highest control of capital and finally to this new era of where knowledge is power.

He then spoke about the thought process that makes the difference. The influence of the mind and the states both psychological and physiological, most of us have always allowed the condition of our thoughts and states to influence us only never knowing that our inner conditions are more motivated by our physical states, wonderful right. From all these, he then went on to our power to influence rapport with others and the power of persuasion. The Author then went on to discuss health and explained what results in every single diet and meal. It’s after effects and all.
In conclusion the Author wants a complete turn around in such practical ways that are effective and easy to adopt.

2. What where the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

A. The Power of State.
B. The Difference that makes the difference.
C. The Magic of Rapport.
D. Distinctions of excellence: Metaprogram
E. The Five keys to wealth and Happiness.
F. Physiology: The Avenue of Excellence.
G. The syntax of success.

A. Power of State: This is to me the most important idea in this whole book. It is the key to joy and the key to desired change.

I see state as ones over view of things, how one relates to the happenings around. A person can have either a negative state or an empowering state that is positive state.
The state of an individual determines his response to things that happen in his environment and to him. A lady can be in an empowering state and receive her husband who comes home late when a smile and warm water for his bath, still yet the same lady could also receive her husband coming at the same time another day with tight lips and a serious face. At that state it is important for him as the husband to respect her feeling and also make her understand his reason for coming at that time.

B. The Difference that makes the difference: This Talks about how each and every one of us see the happenings in our life and communicate or absorb them in ways that brings out results, these results can either waste you by keeping you in a constant state of constant fear and fatigue or been resourceful and empowering.
Usually men get external stimuli and this leads to reaction. Most often we learn from the environment and situation such that conscious or unconsciously we create thought pattern that either brings out the best of us in any situation or makes us culprits of factors external to our control.

We generally model such habits or behavior from the environment without knowing, that is why it is important to watch the kind of things you allow you self and your wards to be expose to and a careful study will also show that brothers who grow up in the same environment can be totally different in handling success. One will become an energizing and enthusiastic successful business man will the other ends up been an alcoholic vagabond blaming his parents and maybe his brother or anybody who has something to do with him for his failure.

The Author has made it clear that modeling makes the difference, we can decide to choose successful persons to be like, know their anchors and model them, soon you will be acting in that state.

C. Magic of Rapport: This was the most interesting and still interesting topic I really loved. Creating rapport is what makes the kind of people we are able to have as friends or work with without any stress. Rapport is necessary for us to communicate all level; we can be with the young, teenager or the old and still be able to flow with them despite the age difference.

The magic of rapport explains to us the use of rapport and how to create it. After reading this book not long ago I had an interview I was able to model the interviewers stance and position and pick up a create conversation, I must say that has been my most confident interview I had ever done.

D. Distinction of excellence; Metaprogram: The various types of metaprogram involve moving towards things or away from things. I was made to understand that every in life is done so as to derive pleasure of avoid pain in either way man can endure a little pain for a greater pleasure such as going through the rigors of a daily routine of exercise so as to enjoy the pleasure of good life. When we read we could read to enjoy the privil
