Assessment by Edwine Nyandisi...

As a Man Thinketh
Assessment by Edwine Nyandisi (Kenya)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

Man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all thoughts. All of the outcome of his actions are the offspring of his thoughts, either negative or positive.
We are also responsible of the direction we want to take in our lives. Every thing is in our mind disposal. I will always get what i want if i only have the right and determined focused mind.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

Our Will Power
I can change through always altering what is in my thoughts, this will brings transformation and brings forth rapid effect in the material and spiritual condition in my life. Because of the will power, every thought is transformed into physical action.

Our Character
I am the master of thought, the moulder of character, and the maker and shaper of condition, environment and destiny. My character is build on the right thinking, right application of thought. Every thought which is born and i use it transforms to the character that i have. Every thought that is born in me can break or make my life.

Our Thoughts
That our thoughts are like a garden which must be cultivated always or else their will be weed which bring forth useless results. I have to know what i always plant in my thoughts in all circumstances. There are times in my life and business i always think and see things impossible because of the challenges i face on the situation facing my life. I believe cultivation is the right word to use if i may say. Always in situation i have to cultivate my thoughts always.

Our Dreams
That dreamers are the saviors of the world. If i continue dreaming it shows what i will be one day, or one day unveil what i have always dream't. Those who dream t before us had a dream, we are enjoying the dream they had. This motivates me to work and strive for what i want even in bad and challenging moments. Dreaming keeps me alive cause i know somewhere in my conscious i have what i want and this dream are the realities of the seeds planted.

Calmness of Mind & self control
Calmness of mind is one of the jewels of wisdom is the result of long and patient effort in self- control. I always have this challenge i almost complain, curse, worry and fume about every things which doesn't work as i want. This happens when you have done your best in what it was needed. But i get the results which are not the one i was expecting. I believe calmness is the answer to thins habit. Everything i do i need to understand clearly the internal relations of things by the action of the cause and effect.

Factor in achievement
I am challenged by the fact that all that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts. This strong for me, because many times i haven't managed to achieve most of the things i want. May be its because i try somethings once and i let go if they don't work, my be some time the strength is not there to keep on trying the same thing around, in the process i give and try and see things if they can by themselves. I later complain that i was not in a good position to do something. I also see other people in better positions to do things than me. Just feel bad that all the things have happen to me are directly result of my own thought. I also feel challenged that i need to rise, conquer, and achieve by lifting up my thoughts.

Thought & purpose
Until thought is linked with purpose there is no intelligent accomplishment. Many time the things i do are not linked together, thats another part i can i think i have to work towards to. This things are not compatible in my life so i see where things have not been working well as getting a good result of my action, and also not making my purpose the supreme duty to develop my self to the attainment. Always my mind wonder around of many things which i have gone through and not sure of the result even before i try. Am must work had toward putting aimless and weakness and to begin to think with purpose and enter ranks with those strong ones who only recorganise failure as one of the pathways to attainment.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

This will help me to determine my ability and my thinking capabilities of how to decide what i want to achieve through the effect of thought and purpose in my life. Also being aware everyday that am the results of what i have being thinking in my thoughts. Am also to know that i am made of myself and always the master even in my weakest and most abandoned state. Making my purpose my supreme duty and i should devote myself to its attainment, not allowing my thoughts to wander away into ephemeral fancies, longing and imaginings. That i can find every true connected with my being if i only dig deeper into my soul to see, that am the maker of my character, the molder of my life and the builder of my destiny.
I should learn how to control my thoughts, tracing its effect upon myself, upon others and upon my life and circumstances, liking cause and effect by patient practice and investigation by utilizing my every experience even the most of little significance or value. Through practice of patience and not ceasing can i enter the door of the temple of knowledge.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

man is made or unmade by himself.
this was important to me reason being that i have being thinking that some circumstances are there because of the trend of the family. This makes strong and start practicing what i see i can do.

what a man thinks, so he is; as he continues to think, so he remains.
This showed me that a thought of a mind of man has all the ability a human being has ever wanted to have, its where you want to decide and do through your thought that determines your final result of what you want.

A man only begins to be a man when he ceases to whine and revile, and commences to search for the hidden justice which regulates his life.
Normally when faced with challenges of everyday i can stop complaining, cursing and seeing that life is not fair. I have seen and learn't that that doesn't help. Searching deeper for what you want in your life is inside your soul. I should adapt my mind of not complaining. I should us that strength in searching for the hidden abilities i have inside me.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

Not any that i have seen or read about.

No

Jonathan Livingstone Seagull
Assessment by Edwine Nyandisi (Kenya)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

Everyone of us has ability from within to do anything we want to besides our weaknesses.
That we have unlimited power within us that can be stretched to any capacity we want in our lives and that we should never be limited or feel comfortable where we are at the moment. We should always strive to the unknown because that's where we get to know our inner capacity can do.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

* Not accepting the ordinary
* Limitations
* Open-minded
* Altitude
* Forgiveness
* Experiment
* Barriers

Not accepting the ordinary: my first reason is that I really liked how Jonathan did, he broke out of the tradition of not accepting to be the gull who wanted only the normal things that every bird was doing. He managed to go the extra mile to learn to fly and was determined, this actually reminds me of the step I took some years back, I was very desperate to get a job, I had a lot of friends whom we jobless with, every day when we meet the only thing we used to discuss is how we are poor, no jobs for us, and other stuff, this went on for along time and one day i said enough is enough. I really searched within my self what I was good in. I came up with an idea of staring my own business and eventually I managed to start one. At that time I had consulted with few people about the business but every one told me that its not easy that I should find something simpler to do. I refused to accept the ordinary and risked to try and see where it takes me. From that time I have always believed that if you decide from your heart of not accepting the ordinary, there is a lot you can achieve, whatever we want to achieve.

Limitations: many times we tend to be limited the way our lives are, this is something which I believe everyone experiences. It's challenging when Jonathan one time he was trying to fly and it reached a place he felt like he was doing nothing and thought of giving up and going back to join the other flock at home. Eventually he managed to go forth and kept trying and never gave up. My life has basically has had a lot of challenges and I have been looking down on my self because there are specific things I don't have that why am not able to achieve some specific goals in my life till this moment. But I have been encouraged that limiting you're my self is not the best solution. I should keep on striving to be where I dream to be. I have realized that trying everyday is a step everyday and progress I have made. Finally limiting my self does not do me better but only reminds me even the things I have not been able to achieve.

Open-minded: open minded makes you learn a lot, I believe Jonathan could not have managed if he wasn't open-minded, that's how he found higher purpose for the life he had wanted. There are things I have been told about my self and others set before me that I have always wondered how to deal with them because of some reasons or the other.
What I always do is may be ignore, assume or I have allowed them to let me down, I have learned that it doesn't help, I should always open my mind and know that this world has different challenges and know that some things will always happen. But when my mind is open I know this challenges will not put me down because my mind will be able to shock absorb the challenges and move with life.

Altitude: I was encouraged by Jonathan, one of the encouragement was his altitude he had towards his progress to what he wanted to archive. For the challenge

Experiment: its always good to experiment the this world because you will never know what you are capable of doing until you do something from within you, and not concentrate on the psychical or seen shortcomings.

Value: sometimes in life we have different type of things everyone values, but there is that thing is important to everyone, and some my sound so stupid that to other its like you are wasting time and doing a lot of nothing. I have come to know that as a person everyone has his own potential in every interest one has. Spending that time in something you value will bring forth the fruits of your work, it may be painful. Because that's why we all don't look alike and are different. The point is we all have different things we all value as individuals.

Sharing: sharing is an important asset to this life, its nation community building if you share the skills or ideas that others don't have. Also very healthy when one shares to me and idea or skill that I have never sat down to think about. Not sharing our skills and ideas together is selfishness that will never take us anywhere. Sharing our ideas creates a stronger bond between us and that removes foolishness in us and that makes you think beyond your nose.

Creativity: somewhere in the book I have learnt that ideas of creativity come from going that extra mile that your friends are afraid to go. Extra mile makes a difference in everything we do, one should be able to walk with those who are willing to take risks and have the passion to learn without minding to try several times even if they fail the first time. Failing the first time or the second time doesn't mean you can't do it. Staying and walking with those who don't want to learn in life and who keep complaining what they cant do because of what they are or because of there shortcomings, this will only pull you down and make you feet in there category, this will also make you not think beyond your shortcomings.

Stumbling blocks: I believe it a right for every human being to achieve anything one wants, but there things inside us that make us think we cannot do it. These things may be our past, our failures, our friends, limitations and other things related to that. If want to achieve our dreams and see results, we must put aside what hinders us from achieving, it doesn't matter what it is it must be put aside.

Forgiveness: because of ones effort and passion, one may get misunderstood and that can cause you a friction between you and your close friends or family because they don't understand what you are doing, and some times they think you are stupid. It's always good to forgive them and still involve them in what you see will help them. One day they will come to appreciate what you did was right.

Learning from others: learning from others is also one of the best lessons because it shows our willingness to learn more and to get more ideas for what we don't know. This means that if we have the will to do something we are able to do it regardless of time situation or session.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

There is no person like me in this world, am capable of doing anything that i want to do
in this world. I am able to stretch my mind to all possibility. When doing things i should not think what other people will say or think because human beings will never lack anything to say.

I can listen to other people's opinion but am to decide what i want to do at the end.
Challenges are there everyday in our lives and they are there to build and mold us to think beyond the challenge.

Not making in whatever you do doesn't mean that you wont do it, it means that you can do it if you can try it differently.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

Don't believe what your eyes are telling you-this challenged me because i normally give up because either what i have seen and decide like what i wanted to do because i already judged the situation impossible. This showed me that never to get satisfied with what i see, i should view situation and decide with my heart and mind as thats the power of all things.

that it is right for a gull to fly, that freedom is the very nature of his being, that whatever stands against that freedom must be set aside, be it ritual or superstition or limitation in any form. This got my attention because i realized that i have been given all abilities in the world, but what happens is that challenges stand on my way or situations that make me not see like i can do something. I would like to be able to go forth and make all sort of stumbling blocks out of my way with all the abilities i have naturally by full filing what my life is purposed to achieve and gain in freedom.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

As i started reading the book i didnt get it what was all about the seagulls and that was a little difficult for me to grasp the whole idea. I didnt know how that would apply to my life. Eventually as i kept reading it, i got the whole idea. I had to start all over again to understand now about the beginning of the bird and tried slowly to apply that in my life.
It was really interesting to read the book.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

No it didn't

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

I think whatever i have read was ok, i have no comments regarding what was not covered

Please rate the following questions on a scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

A. How interesting was it to read? 8
B. How helpful were the contents? 9
C. How easy was it to understand? 6
D. Would you recommend it to others? 10
E. What is the overall rating you would give it? 8

Psycho-Cybernetics 2000
Assessment by Edwine Nyandisi. B (Kenya)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying o convey in the book?

I can have range and I might be justified perfectly, this wont get me anywhere or close to my destiny. I have to confront these situations for feeling sorry for myself, self worthless. Playing a blame game myself won't work out.

I should develop a work plan to improve myself a conscious so as to build my image because anything doesn't happen overnight, it takes daily effort. Always keep my attention focused.

2. What are the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why?
List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

Failures & disappointments
This has helped and it's an experience that I have gone through not even one time, i have felt like a failure if I don't have clients in my business, as a father or not meeting the target I have planned to achieve in my plan, or it takes a long time than I expected it. I have looked at my self and saw that I cannot make it like most of the other guys out there. I have learned not to focus on the failures disappointments rather focus on my own success and areas I have managed to progress even it's in a very small way not what.

Creative imagination
Personally I didnt know if it was possible to replace old thoughts, images, and staff, and to say the truth is that this takes time to replace them. They still come to my mind once in a while; do you know what type of family you came from? What makes you think that you will be succssful? And other things when they come in my thoughts I really feel down. I feel my life coming to the light once more and I have realized that its matter of being creative with my imagination to find my own best self. This will in process replace the old thoughts. Old thoughts through reflective relearning my ideal self will become reality in good time. My altitudes, feelings behavior change will matter what I want to become.

False believes
Since I have been a kid I always believed that most of the things I do it are directly to what I found in the community. That if you have failed in high school that's the end of your life or, the only people who are notice in the community are those whose have studied to universities or gone abroad for further the rest of the guys are useless in the community. This has created a pattern in my life and believed it was true.

After reading the book I was very touched and thought for while about my life and how I have been in the dark. Am joyful to know some of the ideas the author has been sharing. Am putting some of the ideas into practice every day and praying the almighty to help me.

Fake it till you make it.
This has been positive to me, I cant forget it, times when I haven't achieved any or things are not working the way I want. When I see this I tend to complain much and forget what I managed to do in the past.

When I will experience this again I will fake till I make it through showing a positive mental attitude, see things are going to be better and be positive about everything, and I know this is going to cost me great time for what I want. I believe through doing this I will have anything I want in my life.

Surrounding my self with people who want me to succeed.
When I read this, it struck me because I have never thought of it. Just thought friends are friends and it didnt matter if I had to choose friends who are supportive of what I want to achieve. I thought just having friends part of them discouraging you and pulling was part of the game, even leaders I know keep telling me that I cant do something that I think its what I want to do. If I review what has happened I believe part of where I am it's because some the friends I have have never been supportive of what I have been desiring and not true friends. I have to choose friends who are supportive in my dream and goals that I want to achieve and they will make time for me and to collect if it needed be without putting me down.

Not letting past mistakes control my life
I have normally made my decisions based on the past mistakes I had. This has let me go slow on some things because I fear that I will always make the same mistake all over again. Not letting them go, learning from them and get focused on my goals. I should learn that this are just past of the lesson and I should not dwell on them no matter how many times I make, it paring when my mind is positively set to move without self pity.

Using CRAFT
When am trying to work out something in my life no matter what this negative thoughts come that it's not possible, this not the right time and so on. This process of the CRAFT will help me because i will cancel the negative thoughts, find the right positive ideas replace them with those and affirm them strongly, focus on the then and finally train my mind to be always positive and able to achieve whatever my mind has conceived.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in practical way, both in your daily personal life and helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

These ideas will have a great impact in my life both ways. I should learn to think and grow out the box and move forward focused. This should happen when I have clear mind, specific goals without this it doesn't matter how had I may try. I should know what I want so that I can get guaranteed to get whatever I want; I should have targets always in my life.

I have to learn and know that mistakes are part of this life and they don't dictate what I am focused to do

I will use negative feedback the right way, I will combat emotional wounds with relaxation and always. Always appreciate my self as a spiritual being. Finally sharing this ideas and book to my friends so that they can learn as I have learned.

4. Quotes: are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

Yes! “If you always done what you've always done, you will always get what you've always got”

This was important to me because sometime we always do things the same if we want get different result, the challenge is we don't learn from that, and we go and do the same thing again and over again. If it doesn't work, after that we start complaining that things are not working. It was not the right idea and give up. I have learned that I should try one idea in different hundred ways so to get different results. That's the way to go forward. Should be open mind with ideas.

5. is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

No, not any I have come across.

6. Did this book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of
the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Yes! Yes I did complete and the exercises were very helpful to me.

7. Was there anything you read in the book that you would like to comment on that was not covered in the previous questions? If so, please comment.

NO.

8. Please rate the following on the scale from 1 to 10. Ten is good and one is poor.

A. How interesting was it to read? 8
B. How helpful were the contents? 8
C. How easy was it to understand? 7

Keys To Success
Assessment by Edwine Nyandisi

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying o convey in the book?

The author was conveying a message about the mental altitude that we should have a right of control of every thing. Having the right attitude is the right key to success and learning to exercise it right as a matter of habit. Also the conscious mind is where reasoning and thinking occur.

2. What are the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why?
List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

1) Forming a master mind alliance.
This was important to me reasons that the idea of having a master mind will make any my plans more easily and workable and the support of different ideas from guys will play a big roll in my any decision making. Its has made me realize it and its my duty and my responsibility to find way to adopt it. I can't work on my own; I need to team up to bust my ideas and my plans to work. From the life I have lived I guess I have been very reserved about my things and sharing them out t people. I have realized that basing things only on my own won't be workable without consulting to find out other ideas from trusted friends

2) Penalties of a negative attitude
The truth is that if I don't direct my thinking possession of my mind towards what I want I will be finally doomed I don't know if its life it's self or what other people call getting lucky. But most of the time s I find myself thinking hard as to why am always no making it in this life or anything I try to do. Always struggling, and of cause having negative attitude towards a lot of what I try because they don't work. I feel that if I don't take full responsibility of m life I will never make any step or not move from where I am. This should be something that I should work on every time.

3) Way to develop a positive mental attitude.
I have always felt that there is a small possibility to be successful and I never knew to nature that small part can make a big difference in my life. Know I can have that confidence to believe in my self and work on it no matter how small the possibility is, its possible to achieve. All this will start with my mental attitude if I want to see my self in another level of where I want to be and this is something that is very important which I and only I can complete control over and be focused on anything I have targeted . This should be exercised by me every time

4) The power of he will.
When it comes to this most of the time I really fear because am always worried about the possibility of my desires working and I get afraid of thinking what if I fail? And what always pulls me down and makes me down is that I normally think that may be this idea is for specific people may who are gifted to do this, I don't believe in my self enough to stand and go for what I have wanted. I always see obstacles fist and challenges before I do anything positive. The way I have read through this book and seeing where guys have come from, its fired me up and believed that if t was not the power of the will of this guys they could never make it in life or be where they are today. If they dint have that zeal and will from inside them and the risk they took. That's something want to try today and be determined will all what I have, the power of the will make me move forward to another level of seeing things differently. Because the greatest manifestation of anybody I self discipline, and that's in the strength of the will an if I train myself and discipline myself I will be irresistible force that cannot be limited. I can be able to stretch my self if a also constant, and ethical exercises of all times of my life.

5) Controlled habit
to speak the truth never have I thought that controlled habit play any big roll in my life not at all in my business and family. I normally think that most of the things fall into place of there own time and life goes on. I couldn't combine controlled habits and my life and how they work.
I believe this point makes me see this differently in a way, that any habit contributes largely on the formation of any human being, either positive or negatively. Have learned and its important that I will respect doing things or acting in my definite major purpose then it becomes a habit, since I have consciously decided upon the nature of my actions.

6) Definiteness of purpose.
What has been happening in my life is if something doesn't work when I try something
Else to see if its working, if I fail that one I try another, its like hopping from one idea to another without sorting and finding out why the first idea was not working. Am always not patience with ideas I have. Am always on the move to see things work as only as I wanted without like seeking the second opinion from friends or from the some guys who do the same thing as I do. I have learned that I have to be patience to be able to work things through. Anytime I have decided to something I want in my life, I have to seat down, meditate, carry out a plan, have a desire for it and concentrate on it as a target. To focus and be consistent pays later because my desire is focused on what I want.

7) Going an extra mile.
I love simple things that work very easy and am happy for that, when it come to ideas and things make my head spin! Am not there, I don't like struggling with idea right left and centre. I cant tell if its exactly loving simple things. But I have learned that is that going an extra mile pays a lot more at the end. I should be doing something continuous with action and it must be part of everything I do everyday. The applied attention will give me a momentum to my efforts and will inspire enthusiasm and faith in my mind.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in practical way, both in your daily personal life and helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

That to make it in anything I want in this world can be the most amazing and my dream come true. But to make it I should compare my life like that of a team to make it, I will need good friends who are there to support me in different ways and who can guide me and input different ideas into what ideas I have. Mostly new ideas. I also need to be positive about things that I do, my life cannot be compared to anybody. Everyone has his/her desires. It depends on how one makes his desires come out

Thirdly I have learned that to be disciplined in every area of my life. Habit, character wise and other areas and also have a full complete control over my thought. Challenges are part of life, I should always find a way to have solution to setbacks and t affirms that tomorrow is another day, life doesn't end there.

-this got into me in a way that I tried to compare something in my practical life when am thinking to work out something or a project, am always thinking the way I don't see it working, its risky and all kind of discouraging. But the message and courage part I have got is that it will only work only when am focused seeing things are achievable and possible, even if it seems there is a small chance that there is a way out.

2) The power of a positive mental attitude.
-That if I put my mind to work with a positive mental attitude and believe that success is my right, my believe will guide me towards whatever my definition of success might be, I see things all being achieved if all people knew this.

Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude
Assessment by Edwine Nyandisi (Kenya)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying o convey in the book?

That our minds have a secret talisman, one side is emblazoned the latter s PMA ( Positive mental attitude) and the other side the letters ( negative mental attitude) NMA. That also positive mental attitude will attract good and beautiful. Negative attitude will rob any of all that make a life worth living.

2. What are the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why?
List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

1) HOPE- I haven't been keen in or understood hope as I understand in this book, its so wide that I have felt that to some point I need to work on it whichever way I can. Actually I have been thinking that hope is just a way of feeling things will work out everyday. But I have never sat down and analysed it very closely. This has put a different type of faith in me to see it differently. I just feel like it's a new this that's being worked through my life, hope. It's directly straight that its desire with the expectation of obtaining what is desired and relief that it is obtainable. That personally consciously reacts to that which to me is believable attainable.

2) The self starter to self motivator do it now!
There are a lot of opportunity which have passed me by because of not acting right away or I keep on postponing to do something, and I can say that this has coasted me a lot. Am learning that whenever an idea crosses my mind I should write it down and go through it, and I should be able to do it immediately. If I keep on postponing this ideas that cross my mind, I will never make some important steps in my life and will miss important opportunities for the rest of my life and they will never come up again. If I think of ideas or want to do something I should be able to do it right away without hesitating. It the best thing to get things done first.

3) Choosing to live positively with (PMA)
As i understand it , life can be very difficult sometimes and most of the time I have been giving up. Reasons been that most of the things that I have been dreaming of are ot working or I feel like there is nothing working in my life. In one point or the other it has made me suffer. And if they don't work I see things negatively after that. This idea of PMA has been of great help and a dose of my life. Learned that a positive mental attitude affects my health. It attracts a good health to me. A negative will always will be attract the opposite. It doesn't matter how bad things are, using PMA is the way out without stressing my life. At any time.

4) To be happy make others happy.
By this you remove this thing called selfishness, because this what has killed the teaming up with other minds an not independency in terms of sharing ideas. Its human that everyone strives for something in life. After we have succeed we don't want to share that experience with others, we want everything for our self's and everything to work in our way. That's not being sensitive to other people, because we think we should keep or anybody should keep his/her ideas to himself. This joy and ideas should be enjoyed with others, motivating others and bringing happiness into there life's. The only way to expand our blessings and territories is to share our happiness and success with others. This will make us continue growing and accumulating more to share still. That the surest way to find happiness for my self, this happiness will come in return to me in many times over.

5) Setting on high goals regularly
Everyday in life regarding what i have been doing, I just count each day as it comes, as doing as I have set my mind for the day. Not of working on it and trying to make things work or make some ideas work. Continuously doing that will be wasting a lot of time and precious time.
This should be done differently as in setting up on high goals and analyzing every idea and find ways of how things will work without giving up. To avoid the idea of doing things in assumption should be worked on. That should be constant.

6) Where there is nothing to loose by trying, and a great deal to gain is successful by all means try. There is nothing as hard as trying some ideas out for the first time. All this negative ideas keep on creeping in in a way to your ideas, even some friends and family will give you there mind on your ideas and this can rely discourage you. I think of my time, what it will all cost, how this will happen, and other funny ideas which come along with this. But I have seen people who try there ideas out and I have seen them making it. In a way this idea has helped me know that this is a matter of attitude, I have already set I my mind that and encouraged myself that my mind can on a PMA and things will work regardless of what I think on the other side NMA.

7) Something more
there is a part in this book I couldn't resist. Because it reminded me of some small business idea I have been having and I gave up on the way. and you know the how the business world works, trying to weigh the business, how it will work, the competition and other challenges I normally put first. Most of the time what comes into my mind is that the plan is poor and I conclude that it's inevitable. That's why I believe most of us young people haven't ever understood how the idea and how businesses work. I believe the ideas that guys have can be natured and worked on to be workable regardless how small someone thinks his/her ideas are. So this ideas one has and thinks that today if you have money, you can open a small business and tomorrow you sow a billions like that even not thinking the process he business goes through. That's becomes the hardest part when it comes to reality telling me. I have agreed and decided that if anything I do doesn't work, I need and should do something extra on my plan and actions to get different results from the same ones I had. Through we will make it.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in practical way, both in your daily personal life and helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

a) This will help me to find out ways to go an extra mile where I have failed and given up. I should not give up not at ant moment or see things on the negative side. To realize that this can only be done with a positive mental attitude.

b) Anything I do in life I don't have to be ashamed whether I fail. Failure is part of the process. This will also help me in seizing upon the problems I encounter as opportunities in disguise and scrutinize them for good and element when I understand using PMA

c) I should always hope to what I expect, because hope is a desire that when I put my expectation constant ad believe anything I want is obtainable. Then my dream will come true with a positive mental attitude.

d) Setting my goals high everyday and believing I will make it. Because am 100% sure that anything my mind can conceive and believe, my mind can achieve still with positive mental attitude.

e) I have success born in me. Everyday of my life I should have that in my mind and know that an special before good and unique. I should never give up anything in this life till I get what I want and that satisfies me only with the right mind.

4. Quotes: are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

a) As he thinketh in his heart, so is he.
- I just realized am what am always thinking of my self, am who I call my self and I who I see my self because that what creates me and makes me. I have built myself depending on how I have been focusing my mind.
- He quote reminded me that if I want to be successful, I should first think of my self as a successful person. And let it be in my mind and always remind my self always.

b) Faith without works is dead.
- it doesn't matter what I do or desire, with this faith , its cant happen because it the driving force of my everything in my life.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

No.

Real Magic
Assessment by Edwine Nyandisi (Kenya)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

That anyone in the world can create something called real magic despite where and what you are in.

We are always limited physically but not thought wise, we have the powerful tool in the world we can create anything and the life we all desire to have. The author was also conveying the message that we are not limited thought wise, I also understood that challenge is part of life and we supposed to look beyond the challenge and be consistent in what we doing.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

* That fighting starvation only weakens me as a fighter and makes me angry and frustrated while working for a well- fed populace is empowering.

- most in this life since we were young is always fighting anything which is against me or something that I don't what, and knowing that it's my strength am loosing in a situation will never be settled by fighting back anything in life. The only way I have discovered Is to work the other way round, being a spiritual being first and not be against anything or fight anything in this life, because that's a waste of my energy resource. Know the power of my mind what it can do.

* When I examine what I believe to be impossible, I can change my beliefs

In life there is so much that I have being thinking is not possible, in terms of how I was raised, brought up, the environment I have lived , what religion has taught me and what I have learnt from my close and what I have also read. There are things I know would not be possible in my life because of the situation I was in. What I have known is that the mother of my believes and reality are in my thoughts and searching that true accomplishment is inside me. My actions with my mind, my habits that I have I can change them and determine the progress of my inner person as I change my altitude.

* I cannot create prosperity if I believe in lacks.

As I said earlier is that follow what you want, if I want peace I should work towards it not against it, because everything I need I have got it, its that I have to look inside me deep inside, I have everything I need beside that I might not see it /that physically. Everything is directly transformed and brought out from inside my unlimited soul, which is not bounded by anything and that's what counts.

* Am willing to do what it takes to make my dreams a reality

I haven't allowed myself for a long time to create and programme myself to create what I would want to be possible, and what I have normally done is complain and make curse! Curses! Of trying and asking God why am in this world. I have done this not knowing that I have the capacity to shift from impossible mind set to the magic possible able person who can work out things from practicing everyday about my dreams and what I see myself achieving, and also affirming to myself and the universe that am able and I am n the right place.

* Practicing daily meditations.

This is very important as I have learned from it; most of my life has been a busy life without meditation and rethinking of my soul. It should be a part of my daily life because that's where the magic and miracle are created from without knowing, that moment to set apart for meditation, can change the direction of my life. This experience is to search that quietness in my inner part of me and find the true of what I don't know.

* You can't give what you don't have.

I haven't realised that some times its what we do that comes from our hearts, and sometimes I can be limited and say that I don't have anything to give and haven't looked inside my heart well and look for what I can give. Always thought giving was more touchable than what i can give but can't be seen, like love passion prayers and others.

I must start from somewhere to give from my heart and do give out from heart, and this should not be compared to what others have done or what they are doing, I have a choice to made difference if I want it.

This reminds me that, I can't give love and get hate in return, it will be love, you can't get peace if you war, you will still get war. It depends on what kind of love you are planting.
Where you are.

* Creating an intention inventory for myself not a wish list.

I can't lie but I have always wished a lot of things to happen in my life every day, I wish I could get a good job, buy a car, be a successful man as xyz and the list is long with a lot of wish list.
I can't lie about this but sometimes I am feel like I am a powerful person but I can't define myself, as in I have what I takes but I don't know how or where to start because I am afraid to start and fail, and that's how that wishing story comes around.

On the other part, I can be consistent in what am doing trust my intuition and look at things positively every time, I know sometimes I would look for the thing I have not made and feel sorry for myself, but that not they way to go if I want things to work for me. I should be able focus on the things am improving and are working out even if they are small, that's the starting point ad I will create trust and confident on myself every day of my life. I should always have intentions to make through or want what I want but not wish. for things.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

* These ideas will help me in terms of knowing myself from within, understanding the person I ought to be spiritually from being a person operating from a physical world, though I am physical, I should know to determine the kind of life I want to have.

* The other way that these ideas are going to help me is through practicing prosperity, richness wealth from inside my mind, that's the way, my dreams and beliefs will come to pass and bring accomplishment in my life.

* Will learn to teach the world with my actions rather than mare words with my mouth speaks a lot without any action done, doing things in actions is the best way to express what somebody wants to do/express something in life. It brings out the kind of person you are, even before you say anything. I remain with the words that once said that actions speak louder than words. My actions are starting to speak now.

* That I should always intend to get what I want and not wish to get things because through that nothing will ever happen. Having a confident heart and spirit and trust myself to get what I want will always possible because I have intended to get it.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

* That my intensions create my reality, so I be aware of them, and be willing to put them into practice in my world today - there is somewhere in my point I did write this because it rely got into me. Sometime in life I have been a victim of some circumstances and I was always wishing something would just happen every time I thought of it or my mind drugged to it. I was truly reinforcing a negative thought towards what I was seeing is not working towards me. But later discovered that I victimizes me fully like I dint have a way out. This is because the kind of intensions I had. So that's why this statement has being ringing in my mind since I read through it, it made sense to me like a thunder, I couldn't assume but make some affirmation on it. That my intensions create my reality

* Once you know you can do it, and act that way, the means will be obvious. Acting as if you were what you want to become is the way to remove self-doubt and enter your real- magic kingdom -there is no better way of doing acting what you want in life, just trying and putting yourself in an act that you doing what you love. That's where the other statement come in that practice makes perfect, I want to achieve something in life and am interested, I learn the way it's done get it practice and work on it till it become the normal but also reality for I have perfected in that through the practice I have been constantly doing. Still this makes me believe that things are possible if there is some patience and consistence and added love to it, its workable.

* Can't give what you don't have.
Everyone has something to give out besides the materials things we normally think it's the only way to give. This has made me believe that all of us have something to give if we will look inside our hearts to find out.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?

Not anything I have come across.

6. Did the book contain exercises for the reader to complete? If so, did you complete all of the exercises and did you find them helpful?

Not exactly but it had some kind of recommendations and comments after some chapter for one to think about and keep in mind.

How To Win Friends & Influence People
Assessment by Edwine Nyandisi (Kenya)

1. What is the main idea that the author is trying to convey in the book?

That in life sometimes we are supposed to care about other people rather than every time thinking about one self. It's good in life to pause and listen to people on what they want, their feelings, want they desire and so forth. This can go a long way in life rather than talking about our self and trying to satisfy our ego as human being. Through this we can win them into our life because we have given them and ear where they have known we can listen and trust us. As we heed and follow this idea, we can win ones friendship in whatever way we want.

2. What were the seven ideas which were personally most important to you and why? List these seven ideas followed by an explanation after each one as to why it was important to you. Use personal examples from your own life.

Sincere appreciation - Appreciation plays a big role in one's life, I have worked with different people in life, but when one person, only one comes to you and appreciates you, you feel stronger and desire to improve what you were doing. Its brings a certain joy and feel you doing something which one appreciates. Even you respect and you don't forget the person who saw what you were doing and appreciated you.

Not to condemn rather try and understand the other side of the other person - condemning always brings someone's confidence down and unmotivated. This also brings the moral of a person down and one can feel that he/she is not worthy because someone has just seen the things you have wrongly done. Without condemning someone's ability, it's good to build someone's confidence and personality. That's the way to encourage people to move forward and press on. The other way it can be to try and understand the other person what they feel and what they are going through, this can be a better way to understand a person for the other perspective.

Being an attentive listener. This can be agreed with me because a bigger percentage of my life and what I always say has been about myself and what I want to do where I want to be and achieve and so on, but it has never occurred to me how important it is to listen and be attentive to other people,

To try and give them a ear and let what they have inside come out and feel relived. Because that's how to treat and know how other people what they feel and want.
Listening to someone means a big deal to them to some extent they can feel free and important to tell you about anything I there life or what they are going through.
You will mean a lot to a person who you listen to always.

Talking in terms of the other persons interests. Its normally interesting that everyone wants to be listened to and be listened to because that's the nature and the altitude that all of us human beings have, you have to show some interest and effort to show people you know that

You are interested in what they are doing, how you can add on what their interest is. Trying to find where there heart is in terms of their intimate interest are, that will can be milestone even in terms of if you want to get through them in anything you may want to know or want from them, because the first interest you showed was in them, to them they will think I terms of how very interested you are in what they are doing, this can never go wrong.

How to make people like you instantly- sometime people take life very seriously and tend to think that there is nothing besides being serious and they even don't put a smile in their faces. They just get serious and down to business, you can spend the whole day passing each other without saying hallo, sometimes people get this serious because they don't have anyone to appreciate them and to give them a word of motivation to their work and or even a smile.

A smile and giving that person a genuine appreciation can work like a magic, it's not a must that we have to get something from people when admire and know how they are doing or try to put a smile into their faces, just a genuine appreciates can play change somebody's set of mind or one can see that there people out there who appreciates them intensively, when they know that they become happy and encouraged through the day and in life I short.

Do unto others what you'd like them do unto you- what any appreciation you want and want people to be interested in you, do that to them, find out what interests them what make them happy, smile for them, all this things can happen to you too if you get interested into other peoples lives. Whatever you want, do that to your friend, neighbour, stranger, a new friend a stranger and the list goes on.
To understand the other person(s) point of view- I have always wanted all things to be done my way as I want even if we were other people involve and had different ideas which could help, I never want to enter into any argument because I never cared what the other colleges had in mind, all what I wanted is my ego to e feed, I have just understood and trying to explore the possibility of understanding the other side of my friends, here them out and saw it clearly that sometimes that cooperativeness in conversation with them will be only achieved when I show that I consider this guys ideas and feelings as important as my own. I have also learnt that giving the other person a direction of my conversation and accepting their views it will encourage the listener to have an open mind to my ideas.

3. How will these ideas or lessons help you in a practical way, both in your daily personal life and in helping you to create a better world? If so, how?

These ideas will help me in ways that I will know how to deal with people from all walks of life, to listen to them, understand them get interested in the things they love, appreciate where necessary because in one way everyone in this life craves to be appreciated and that's the way life is.

Also I will not be judging people but will try to understand their point of view, engage them in their own conversation and try to understand them from their perspective. What I have also learnt is normally to give a sincere appreciation from the heart, to be a good listener more than what I speak and say of myself.

To understand people from their views and trying to fit myself in their shoes and not be selfish with loading people minds talking about myself all the time. So if I want someone to be interested in me I should be keen and encourage them to speak more about their selves. To make this difference will be part of which one can change a world. To listen to people.

Anything I want from people, to be listened to, understood, and someone to tell about my feeling and what I want, I should be ready to do unto others what I would like them to do unto me. That's the bottom line. It doesn't have to be something you want in return. An open heart especially will do something untouchable.

4. Quotes: Are there any statements which the author made that particularly got your attention? If so, please quote them and comment as to why they were important to you.

Do unto others what you would like them do unto you.- this has been a very strong message / quote for me, because if I want to be happy, let me make the other person happy, let me give this person what he/she doesn't have, let me listen to this person, because tomorrow I will need this too. This quote has inspired me because its reminding me that you can give what you don't have, in short means everyone has something to give.

5. Is there anything in the book that you do not understand or are unclear about, or are there ideas which you disagree with and, if so, why?
